The Gavel On The Move

Just three days after the end of the 2026 Grand Session, the Most Illustrious Master’s Traveling Gavel is on the move again- for the third time.

The specially designed trowel, introduced as part of MIGM Matthew Kirby’s program to promote visitation across the state, was presented to Irvine Council No. 92 on Wednesday, September 25. Its time in Irvine was short.

The trowel was claimed on Wednesday night by Red River Council No. 116 in Stanton, but Red River did not have long to enjoy their prize.

Jackson Council No. 112 brought one member more than Wi******er Council No. 75 to the inaugural meeting of the Red River Council No. 116 on Thursday, September 24, to claim the trowel.
The trowel will reside in Jackson until claimed at Jackson’s next regular meeting on Thursday, October 8.

James Elam, Stephen Bowling, and Anthony Holbrook were part of the Jackson Council group that claimed the trowel from IM Lee Jett of Red River Council No. 116 on Thursday night.
