We are happy to announce that we will be having our Disabled Outfitters Deer Hunt for 2021 on November 12th and 13th. Unfortunately we may have to have a draw to fill the spots. All interested hunters need to respond as soon as possible . We would also appreciate guides, land owners and volunteers interested to please respond to us by messenger.

Perhaps after just just hearing such heartbreaking and shocking news the following words may not equal the depth of our loss. Anyone that is part of the Disabled Outfitters family needs to be aware that our family has lost one of our brothers. Chris Ratcliffe has passed away from complications with his kidneys . His love for hunting, fi****ms and sharing his knowledge of it all with anyone that wished to enjoy his conversation was incredible. Many nights after everyone had departed the camp we sat and spoke and enjoyed sharing stories. His appreciation of anything you were doing was beyond gracious and the loss of him as a family member and friend can never be explained in these few words. Our lives are better for having spent the time that we did together . Chris you are in our prayers and know you are at a gun and knife show somewhere or on the way to a hunt, most probably both.

In all of 17 years we have never had to cancel a turkey hunt or deer hunt and only once had to postpone and reschedule once when we had hurricane Matthew . Unfortunately 2020 has broken our streak with us cancelling our turkey hunt and now after holding off as long as possible we with much regret have to cancel the 2020 disabled outfitters deer hunt. After such a successful hunt last year and the addition of many new properties and participants this weighs heavy on our hearts. We apologize to all our guides, land owners, sponsors and participants. We feel for the safety of all directly involved and to their families we have no other choice, as we appreciate and respect all of them. Hopefully we will all be looking at a virus free spring and another turkey hunt. Thank you all for your participation and support be safe we love you all Disabled Outfitters.

when we are young 18 years seems like forever but as time passes , things change we age and we are brought to a stark realization that we are human, life is not forever and there are many things we have no control over. Years ago my dad wanted to make sure i could access the outdoors Through one of my wheelchair providers i found a world online of people like myself and others who were assisting disabled people like myself to hunt and fish. After some local success with hunting i reached out and was given some amazing pportunities . During this time i met Nancy Benton at my church and we got together to hunt some more Over time as things change she became involved with nwtf/wheelin sportsmen and along with David Crockett they provided years of deer hunts to myself and others. As hingschange and time passes so too did that, but i was blessed to be able to pick up the torch and form my own organization as most of you know Disabled Outfitters and we still provide Disabled Hunters such opportunities. David and Nancy teamed with Brad Jones and The Outdoor Dreams Foundation to provide bigger and very special opportunities to individuals with terminal illness or in the midst of battles to fulfill their dreams. It seems crazy after doing so much for so many that David would have to face a battle of his own being diagnosed with brain cancer . Did he throw in the towel, did he turn his back on all those kids he had shared such wonderful moments with. No he continued to help provide and join in these life changing events up to the very end. Many people may not know David and Nancy or any of this but there are people out there that give their heart and soul and their life for others. Please say a prayer for Nancy and her family as they have just lost a father and now this. Know that there are people out there that never look for thanks or credit for their actions so they go unknown to many, but do know this world was a much better place with them in it.

Dwayne Buckner is not only a supporter of our second amendment rights and a candidate for US Senate 2020 . We met Dwayne through a twist of fate I guess you could say and found he was a person who truly cares about people and what is “right “ for people . He is planning on being a part of our April 3rd kick off for our Disabled Outfitters Turkey Hunt . We will update time and participants. All interested please join us .

As we begin our new year and plan for our turkey hunt we are asking your prayers for a member of the disabled outfitters family that has been right there from the beginning . Joey Worden is about t undergo open heart surgery on monday for a valve replacement . We will be organizing a fund raiser on his behalf after surgery as he will be out of work for sometime and the medical bills will be extensive . so join us in praying for joey and his family.

Tails of the Tides specializes in guided fly fishing and inshore spinning tackle charters. Fishing is done from my 16’ Dolphin Super Skiff – This technical poling skiff is revered as one of the “quietest, stealthiest, best poling boats on the planet”. Offering a less than 8” draft while being able to smoothly navigate rough open waters, the Dolphin Super Skiff will allow you to experience the Lowcountry marsh safely and comfortably.
Sight fishing charter prices cover two anglers.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Sun protective clothing, Hat, Polarized Sunglasses
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED: All licenses, rods/reels (fly and spin), custom flies, and tackle will be provided by the Captain. A few moments earlier we drew on Facebook live to find out the winner of the Shadow Hunter 6X6 Gun/Bow Box Blind . We appreciate all that participated in supporting Disabled Outfitters . At this time we wish to congratulate Guy Artigues of Mount Pleasant South Carolina. We have already phoned Guy and are awaiting his return call . As a reminder to all October 18th and 19th are the dates for our 16th Deer Hunt and as always our Deer Hunt Raffle Tickets are available now . Again Thank You and God Bless .

Deer Season is upon us and so is the drawing for the Shadow Hunter 6 by 6 Box Blind August 15th. At this point only 208 tickets have been sold .Those selling tickets time is almost up.
