11 AM –3 PM Freezin for a Reason gives water-skiers, wakeboarders, and tubers of all ages a unique opportunity to brave the chilly waters of Lake Geneva to raise money for the Santa Cause Super Charity, which supports several local charities in Walworth County. Participants are asked to get
sponsorship pledges from businesses, family, friends, and fans. The minimum donation to participate in Freezin for a Reason is $75.00. The fun filled day also includes food and beverage specials, a 50/50 raffle, and silent and live auction. There is a warming stations on the pier for participants. The event, which has garnered television and newspaper coverage over the years, has grown its participants to around 100, with more than 250 spectators and supporters cheering them on. Over $35,000 was raised in 2019, we hope to raise $40,000 this year. Hosting Sponsor Gage marine will again provide boats, skis, tubes, and boards although many participants bring their own equipment.
