It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we must announce the closing of Pine Canyon Camp. Nearly 5 years after the Horseshoe 2 Fire of 2011, which devastated approximately 83% of the Chiricahua Mountains, the Forest Service has determined that the potential for flooding is still too great and they will not be issuing us a permit. The current site at Pine Canyon Camp will be available for day-use only.
If you are a youth or teen who would normally go to summer camp, or the parent or grandparent of a youth or teen, there will be a Pine Canyon Camp activity in Tucson on July 5, time to be determined. Please go to our website www.pinecanyoncamp.com for updated information as we develop it.
