AWCA has learned that Regeneration is hosting a project briefing on August 25th at 1 pm to discuss a potential project to reopen the Klondyke Tailings Superfund Site to attempt to further remediate and reprocess these tailings. Regeneration is a public benefit NGO formed by mining companies like Rio Tinto with a focus on developing more sustainable mining remediation and restoration projects. They are interested in performing this work under the EPA's Good Samaritan Pilot Program, and are holding this meeting to understand local insights and concerns.
