🌏🇯🇵 Host a Japanese 4-H Youth This Summer! 🇯🇵🌏

The Arizona 4-H Youth Exchange Program is looking for welcoming families to host a Japanese delegate from July 23 – August 16!

As a host family, you'll share your everyday life, traditions, and community while building lifelong friendships and helping a young person experience American culture firsthand. This is a cultural exchange—not a vacation program—so delegates simply want to be part of your family's daily activities.

✅ Daily life focus, not tourism
✅ Families with youth/teens can apply
✅ Full 4-H program support provided
✅ Welcome and departure events included

This year’s delegates enjoy activities such as baseball, music, reading, science, nature, animals, basketball, and more. Hosting is a rewarding opportunity to bring the world to your home while helping young people develop global understanding and friendships.

Dive into the fascinating world of entomology with Master Gardener Jan as she teaches participants which insects help or harm your garden and explains the important role pollinators play in our environment. Then, get hands-on and build your very own backyard bee house!

A HUGE thank you and shoutout to Sierra HinkHouse, a dedicated 4-H member from Double Adobe, for planning and coordinating all the details for our Beef Clipping Clinic! Your hard work, leadership, and dedication helped make the event a tremendous success, and we truly appreciate everything you did behind the scenes to make it happen.

We would also like to give a very special THANK YOU to Houston Klump for coming out and sharing his knowledge and skills with our 4-H youth. Houston did an outstanding job teaching tips and tricks on how to properly wash and clip cattle, and our members learned so much from the hands-on experience. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and encouragement you gave to our youth.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped support this great learning opportunity for our 4-H members. Events like these would not be possible without amazing volunteers, families, and community support!

We’re excited to share that Houston will also be joining us for Livestock Day on June 18th — we hope to see everyone there!
