The Christine Center The Christine Center is a spirituality center offering solo and group retreats in a wooded sanctuary. The Christine Center was established in the lineage of St.
(1)

Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, and embraces persons of all spiritual paths. Organizations, individuals, groups, teachers, and students are invited to share the energy of this sacred space. The Center offers lodging and meals for individual retreats, group retreats, seminars and sabbatical stays. You’re also welcome to have your day meeting or overnight gathering of your small faith community, hospital, church, educational or management group at the Center. Situated in a tranquil forest setting with guest house, hermitages (small cabins), and camping on 125 secluded acres, the Christine Center has served the spiritual needs of thousands of people from all over the world for almost thirty years. You’re invited to partake of its silence and beauty, and to participate in its opportunities for personal spiritual deepening and global transformation. Spiritual seekers are drawn to The Christine Center by the activities of a vibrant community, prayer, contemplation and work. The Center offers retreats on spirituality, transformational change and inner development. It hosts a diverse and wide range of workshops and retreat programs. As a Catholic retreat center, it welcomes opportunities to engage in dialogue with teachers and seekers of many spiritual paths. The Center also offers services such as spiritual guidance, bodywork, and recreational activities which can supplement your reflection and relaxation. A supportive, natural environment provides you with the ambience for a contemplative practice, creativity, or nurturing the Spirit within. Many come to explore inner awakening, holistic living and honesty in relationships. Out of this energy the Christine Center offers its signature program “Spiritual Deepening for Global Transformation.”

What happens when we stop trying to decide what should come next and begin listening to what wants to emerge?

Intuitive Painting invites us beyond the thinking mind and into a deeper relationship with our own experience. Along the way, we may encounter exhilaration, frustration, vulnerability, resistance, surprise, or profound stillness – without needing to force any particular outcome.

This retreat offers sustained time and space to move beyond the first layer of creativity and into deeper territory.

What if prayer could be expressed through movement, music, and the simple act of gathering together?

The Dances of Universal Peace bring sacred phrases from many spiritual traditions into a shared practice of song and movement. With live music, gentle repetition, and moments of contemplation, this overnight retreat offers space to settle into presence and connect with others.

There is no performance and no audience. Each dance is taught in the moment, and no experience is needed.

Our lives move through continuous cycles of beginnings, middles, and endings. Some changes are welcomed, some resisted, and others simply ask us to move with the flow.

Where are you experiencing a new phase or chapter? What has ended to create space for what is emerging?

Through yoga, labyrinth, sound, silence, movement, stillness, community, solitude, and nature, this retreat offers space to explore your inner landscape and tend the new growth taking root in your life.

What if growing older is not simply a season of loss, but an invitation into greater freedom, wisdom, creativity, and spiritual depth?

In The Gift of Years, Benedictine Sister Joan Chittister invites us to reconsider what it means to grow older and discover the possibilities that emerge through each stage of life.

Join Chris Flynn for four weeks of shared reflection on the blessings and challenges of aging, finding meaning and purpose, forgiveness, letting go, and embracing the wisdom of our years.

There are times when we find ourselves standing at the edge of something unfamiliar, unsure of what comes next. We may want a clear direction, a sense of certainty, or some assurance that we are moving toward something meaningful. Yet sometimes discovery asks us to enter without knowing, to follow what emerges, and to trust that something may reveal itself along the way.

What might become possible if we allowed ourselves to explore without needing to know where the journey will lead?

Intuitive Painting offers a creative spiritual practice for entering that unknown. Through color, curiosity, and a willingness to follow what emerges, the blank page becomes a threshold – a place to encounter what may not yet have words.

Death is part of life, but it is rarely given this kind of space.

On Thursday, October 15, our monthly online Death Café offers a gentle space to reflect on end-of-life questions in community. We begin with a short meditation and reading, then move into open conversation where personal stories, questions, and wonderings are welcome.

The gathering is free (donations appreciated) and meets on Zoom the third Thursday of each month from 7:00–8:30 pm CST.
