Willard Kiwanis

Willard Kiwanis "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time."

Kiwanis has adopted six "Objects" to help guide activities:
1. To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
2. To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
3. To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
4. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressi

ve, and serviceable citizenship.
5. To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
6. To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

Hey everyone! Get ready for an Independence Day Parade! Dress up the kids, the pets, floats, cars, trucks, motorcycles, antique cars, marching bands, twirling groups, scout troops, golf carts, jeeps, bikes and scooters and join the Willard community in celebrating our nation's freedom by being in the Parade on Thursday, July 3, at 7 pm. The parade is an excellent way to show your support for our country, demonstrate community pride, and promote your business or organization. While not required, we encourage everyone to wear their best patriotic red, white, and blue attire and decorate their entry patriotically.
The parade will line up at the Willard City Schools parking lots near the Haas Gymnasium and football field. The route will travel east on Perry Street and then take a left on Myrtle Avenue, turning left onto Tiffin Street, then right onto Main Street, and finally left onto Laurel Street, where it will conclude at West Avenue. Lineup at the school will be from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Participating entries will be contacted in advance regarding their specific lineup locations. Deadline to enter the parade is Monday, June 30 at 4pm. Any entry received after the deadline will be placed at the back of the parade.
After the parade, the park will host various festivities, including food trucks, live music, free swimming, and a community fireworks display at 10 pm.

Come see us today at the Downtown Spring Fest!We have free games for the kiddos and a chance to enter a raffle for OSU football tickets.

Tomorrow!!! Join us for the Downtown Spring Fest tomorrow from 10 to 3. There's something for everyone. Not only the bike rodeo and touch a truck, but also vendors featuring crafts, clothing, and baked goods.

Speaking of food...we have plenty of food trucks. And don't forget our downtown restaurants. There is Lisa's Ice Cream, Domino's Pizza, Rita's, Taco Rico, Danny Ray's Pizza, and Uncle Dudley's.

The Willard Area Historical Society will have a ceremony to close the time capsule at noon. This is the final piece to our Sesquicentennial year. That takes place at the clock tower. Bring the kids so in 50 years they can say I remember when they closed it.

I’m a little late in posting, but we had a great time providing free games at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt!
