September’s Hope Center Theme
Rules! Who needs them?

Do you ever wonder why we have certain rules

There was an old ordinance in Florida called “The alligator walking law.” If you were walking your alligator, it had to be on a leash! Sounds Crazy, right?

Sometimes we call them rules, laws, boundaries, ordinances , or expectations. All of them seem to be dos and don’t of life. Some sound really crazy while others make complete sense.

When you read the Old Testament, it is sometimes hard to understand why they had certain rules or commands to follow. Like most rules, there is a reason behind those rules.

At the Hope Center, our first theme is called Rules! Who needs them? We will be discussing rules that affect our daily lives, how we act, and rules in the Bible.

As a person reads the Bible, there were many people who didn’t follow the rules or expectations God set for them. It didn’t take long for Adam and Eve to break the only rule they had.

Even though we break God’s expectations for us(sin), He gives us grace and chances to come back to Him. We will learn about those people in the Bible who broke rules and came back to Him while others did not.

Stay tuned for messages from the Hope Center about choices!
