We are located on 295 acres of diverse woodlands and fields in the small town of Willard in west-central Wisconsin. At Camp Victory, the goal is clear: To provide a safe environment for Veterans with PTSD and their families to connect, discuss their experiences, and continue to heal from the effects of serving our country. Winding throughout the property are four miles of wheelchair-accessible and
walker-friendly graveled woodland trails. Guests can catch and release bluegill from our one-acre pond with a wheelchair dock. We provide guided archery deer, turkey, and bear hunts. We also provide camping and lodging for Veterans and their families. PTSD Retreats
Twenty-two veterans with PTSD-related issues commit su***de per day. Camp Victory would like to help reduce this number. Nature is a proven healing facilitator. Camp Victory provides the ideal outdoor setting to connect with nature and connect with other veterans and their families. The Highground and other Veterans’ Service Organizations host PTSD retreats, seminars, and camping trips for individual veterans, couples, and families throughout the year at Camp Victory. Hunting
Along the four miles of trails are nine enclosed 8’x8’wheelchair accessible hunting shacks, ten ladder stands, and various food plots that bring in deer and turkey. Every fall, four four-day guided archery deer hunts are held for various veterans groups, including Vietnam Veterans, Purple Heart Recipients, WI Combat Veterans, and Persian Gulf & Desert Storm Veterans. In 2021, Camp Victory will accommodate veterans who have a bear hunting license and are interested in hunting bears with a bow. During the spring of 2022, Camp Victory will host two to four-day guided archery turkey hunts for a minimum of four veterans. We have contacted the WI DNR to discuss group turkey hunts. The veterans and their guides can camp or sleep in a log cabin that can accommodate ten hunters with a wheelchair-accessible bathroom and tub shower. Camping
Private group camping is available for veterans and their families at our 5-acre campground Memorial Day through Labor Day and during the deer, turkey, and bear hunts. A minimum of four veterans, couples, or families is required to stay at the campground. Can Non-Veteran Organizations Host Events at Camp Victory? Camp Victory is available for day field trips for clubs, schools, or youth groups to experience and study forestry, habitat, and botany. Bus parking, picnic shelter, and fire pit are available.
