Master Reilly's Taekwondo - A Program of Edify Learning Center Inc. The only Taekwondo program in Venango and surrounding counties. We teach Kukkiwon Taekwondo! An Olympic Taekwondo school in Western Pennsylvania.

We teach Taekwondo for self-defense, sport and exercise. We also teach self-defense through Hapkido, Judo, Jiu -Jitsu, and modern forms of combat. Our program is a family friendly rooted in Christian morals and ethics. (We do not participate in any Eastern religious practices or teachings.) Do you attend a Taekwondo club that teaches the Taegeuk poomsae but does not provide Kukkiwon certification?

Perhaps your instructor teaches Palgwae poomsae. Do they hold a Kwon certificate?

There is a serious issue of integrity when instructors teach a curriculum developed and standardized by Kukkiwon or KTA/Kwans while presenting it as their own, without maintaining legitimate recognition or certification.

To club owners: Integrity means being honest about where your curriculum comes from. If you are teaching Kukkiwon Taegeuk poomsae, you should have the credentials and certification to back it up. How can you require standards of your students that you are unwilling or too proud to meet yourself?

To practitioners: Ask questions. Ask to see your instructor’s Kukkiwon/Kwan credentials. Ask what organization certifies their rank and whether their curriculum is officially recognized. If an instructor cannot provide proof of their credentials (Self certification does not count) you deserve to know exactly what you are paying for…

Your training and the integrity of the martial art deserve honesty and transparency. Being informed prior to signing up will save you time and money. Your health and future are important. Don’t fall for the old lie that so and so trained me or said I should be this rank. Would anyone really go to a doctor that made this claim? “No, I didn’t go to medical school, but another doctor, that you don’t know, said I talked and acted like a doctor and so they tested me and now I’m a medical doctor.”…
