The 12 Note MAP The 12 Note MAP is an after-school music program serving Wilkes Co. students. The 12 Note MAP (Music After-school Program) aims to teach Wilkes Co.

students the basics of music and making music in the Appalachian mountain music style. Our goal is to pass down the love of not only music and playing music but also the love and appreciation for the rich musical heritage of Wilkes Co., NC and surrounding areas. Local musicians and instructors come together to offer not only their talent and musical knowledge, but also their love for music and the

ir community. Passing on that love of music and community to the next generation. Students begin their musical journey on the ukulele. After getting a few tunes under their fingers, they move up to learn other instruments like the guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle or bass! MAP offers several performance opportunities throughout the year. Help spread the word and support The 12 Note MAP!
