Liberty Masonic Lodge #45 is located at 1228 School Street, Wilkesboro, NC. We meet on the first Thursday of every month and at other times as business or events warrant. Liberty Lodge has several purposes, as does Masonry in general. Among these are:
• Fellowship with other men of good character
• Meeting people from all walks of life, from your community
• Self improvement, as further explained
below
• Charity, which will be detailed further
• Making a difference in our community and society
• Learning about and perpetuating a history and fraternity that is hundreds of years old
Liberty Lodge is a 501(c)10 non-profit organization and has been involved in numerous charitable projects over the years, with many of these efforts continuing annually. We donate to 501(c)3 non-profits such as:
• Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, NC, which has been housing and caring for children in need since 1870
• WhiteStone, a retirement community in Greensboro, NC
• NC Masonic Foundation
• Support for local charities, to include:
Samaritan's Kitchen of Wilkes
Ebenezer Christian Children's Home
Wilkes Ministry of Hope
Catherine H. Barber Memorial Homeless Shelter
Local churches
We reach out to our community in many ways:
• We provide a safe Trick or Treat environment on Halloween for 400-500 children in our community
• We provide charity for our infirmed or needy members and their families
• We supply snacks to local schools
• We donate clothes to homeless shelters
• We donate food to soup kitchens
Members in Liberty Lodge have several avenues for self-improvement
