The 23rd Annual Indoor Futsal Soccer League is back!

We are currently taking registrations for players ages 3 to 17 for our Winter Futsal League!

Practices start mid November and then games start beginning of December. Games will be on Saturdays and Sundays depending on age groups.

Registrations can be completed at the Rec Center. If your child is new to our winter programs please bring a birth certificate at time of registrations.

Don't miss our early bird special and save $10 on the cost of registration!

Good Luck to Teams playing in the WVYSA Fall Festival tomorrow(9/18) and Sunday(9/19) @ Forty Fort Recreational Complex. We hope everyone has a great time.

We have new shirt colors for this years festival that will be on sale tomorrow and Sunday. Please see the picture below for the colors. We also have some colors from the previous festival.

The stand will have Hot Dogs, Pizza (afternoon hours), walking tacos, water, gatorade, soda, fruit and various candy.

For the morning, we will have Dunkin Donut coffee and donuts/pastries from Sanitary Bakery.

We will also have a raffle for all players who are there for the weekend. We will be giving away 2 - Size 3 Balls and 2 -Size 4 Balls and 6- $15 Dicks Sporting Good GiftCards.

We almost made it through a spring season without having Mother Nature forcing cancellations.

Due to the weather, All WVYSA games are cancelled for today 5/29/21.

Hopefully, all games will be able to be made up.

We hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day Weekend.

Hello WVYSA families and players,

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause the delay of the 2020 Spring Season. Our number one priority is to the health and well being of our players, coaches, officials and their families. However, we still hope to get through this and provide an outlet for the kids who have been removed from their friends and teams for so long. Right now we are pushing the projected start date to the middle of April for practices. Games will start early May.

We hope that this will be the last delay that is needed. However, we recognize the fluidity of the situation. We will continue to make decisions that are based on input from Public Health Officials and State and Local Authorities.

For now, please remain safe and healthy, we will keep you informed of any changes.

EPSARC has cancelled the March 28th referee certification.

Eastern PA referee committee has decided to cancel all training (both re certification and new field sessions). With the recent cancellation of schools and sporting events due to the COVID-19 virus the WVYSA is actively working with the EPYSA, USA Soccer and local school districts to properly assess our upcoming Spring Season. Our #1 priority is the safety of our players, coaches, referees as well as families of the players.

Currently, we are not allowing any practices before April 1st. We will assess before then whether or not we should start the season on April 18th.

All options are on the table, this is an ever changing situation and we are trying to make sure we make the best decision for the children and families of the WVYSA. We will keep you updated and hope that we can provide you with a fun and safe outlet for your children in these trying times.

Date: Saturday March 28th
Location: Gordon Ave Fields (Fred J Boote Memorial Field)
Time : 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

You can register @ www.epsarc.org

Please make sure to complete ALL requirements (this includes all the background checks) listed on the site to be able to participate in the field session and get certified.

You must be 14 years of age before the scheduled course day to be able to be certified.

Just a reminder:

WVYSA will be a part of Youth Sports Night @ WB Scranton Penguins on November 30th. Kids are free with a purchase of an adult ticket. We have reserved tickets in all three sections so parents/kids can choose where to sit. The information flyer is below. They have setup an online link to purchase the tickets. It can be found below in the flyer. I have also added it below:

If we get 20 or more adult tickets purchased, WVYSA will be able to get a group photo on the ice after the game!!!
WB Scranton Penguins will donate $4 per ticket back to WVYSA. WVYSA will use a percentage of the money to help defer costs of the festival and storage facility to house the nets and other equipment for the festival. The rest will be divided amongst the clubs in the WVYSA. Enjoy a great AHL Hockey game while supporting WVYSA, its member clubs and the WB Scranton Penguins!!!!
