WOW! We never had to worry about getting cold today, because you all made our hearts warm!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Over 250 people braved the cold and showed up for our third annual WinterFest in Nesbitt Park, Wilkes-Barre. It was the PERFECT day to learn about how you can safely enjoy the outdoors even on the coldest days of winter. 🧤

A HUGE thank you to all of our exhibitors for staying out the full two hours to connect with our community, we couldn't have done this without you! And thank you to our amazing team at the RiverFront Parks Committee for showing up and making today the best it could be.

See you all at RiverFest in June! 🏞️

Yes, WinterFest is going to be cold tomorrow... but isn’t that the whole point?❄ Step out with us and show winter you’re not afraid of a little chill. We’ve still got two months left, after all! ⛄

Join us for the full two hours or just twenty minutes. Enjoy free hot chocolate, s’mores by the fire, family-friendly activities, walks, and more! Then retreat to your warm car and get cozy the rest of your day.

And hey, you’ll probably already be out grabbing milk and eggs for the big storm on Sunday, so swing by! You won't even gave to worry about your groceries in the car! 😄

It's all happening tomorrow, January 24th from 12-2 PM in Nesbitt Park. Check out our pinned video if you're still unsure of how to get there!

Huge thanks to DICK'S Sporting Goods in Wilkes-Barre for donating hand warmers to keep our volunteers warm while we brave the 10-degree “tundra” at WinterFest! That kind of support is truly hands-on (😉) and very much appreciated. 🔥

We hope you'll bundle up and join us, even for a short while, with these quick tips:
🧤 Bring your own hand warmers if you have them, and don't forget a hat, scarf, and mittens!
🏂🏻 Layer up! Opt for wool, fleece, and a good wind proof outer layer. We also love some alpaca socks and water resistant boots to keep out the snow!
🕛 And remember, you don’t have to stay the full 2 hours. You’re welcome to swing by, take a walk with us, warm up by the fire, enjoy free S'mores & hot cocoa, check out the tent, then hop back into your cozy car whenever you’re ready 🚗☕

See you Saturday, January 24th from 12-2 in Nesbitt Park!

WinterFest is coming.... And it's bringing the chill! 🥶

This NEPA winter cold snap is expected to last into the weekend, with temperatures hovering around 10 degrees on Saturday. But no need to fear, we'll have plenty of hot chocolate, fire-side S'mores, and winter fun to keep you warm! 🔥☺️

We are curious - Will you be layering up and visiting us at WinterFest in Nesbitt Park from 12-2 PM, or will you be cheering us on from indoors? Let us know in the comments 🧣
