Thank you to everyone who made RiverFest 2026 a huge success this past weekend!🚣

Save the Date for RiverFest 2027 June 25, 26, and 27th! Paddling opportunities with Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals all weekend long and our main festival in Nesbitt Park from 12-4 PM on Saturday, June 26th. More details TBA early 2027. 🐸

In the meantime, you can catch us at ChalkFest at the River Common on Saturday, October 3rd from 12-3 PM, and WinterFest in January (Date TBA soon!)

RiverFest 2026 is happening in Nesbitt Park from 11 AM - 4 PM! 🥳 Join us for music, family-friendly fun, and good vibes along the Susquehanna River.

**Unfortunately, due to predicted heavy downpours, the Dragon Boat race for Sunday, August 16th has been cancelled.**

Join us for RiverFest! The event was rescheduled from June to Saturday, August 15th. We'll be in Nesbitt Park from 11-4 with music, activities, and family fun along the beautiful Susquehanna River. The event also coincides with Dragon Boat Race weekend! Groups will be practicing during RiverFest on Saturday. If you like what you see, come back to cheer on your favorite team during the races on Sunday, August 16!

All RiverFest related events for tomorrow, June 27th, have been rescheduled to Saturday, August 15th. This includes the SATURDAY river tour, the 7 AM bird walk, and the annual event in Nesbitt Park.

While this was a difficult decision for our committee, the storm system that was originally expected to remain south of Wilkes-Barre is now forecast to shift north and linger throughout the day. To ensure a more enjoyable experience for the families and community members attending, we've decided to move the event to a day with better weather.

There's a silver lining to the change! The new date coincides with Dragon Boat Race Weekend, so Nesbitt Park will be bustling with activity. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch teams practice rowing these unique river craft while enjoying all that RiverFest has to offer.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, August 15 for a great day along the river!

RiverFest is happening this weekend! 📣

We are so excited to celebrate the Susquehanna River with you this weekend! Whether you are into paddling, hiking, or relaxing and listening to music, we've got something for everyone at this years' event!🐸

First, join us for a 7 AM bird identification walk in the Kirby Park Natural Area before the festival on June 27th. Then, grab a coffee and breakfast from a restaurant in , and join us back in Nesbitt Park from 11 AM - 4 PM for our annual festival. The event features environmental exhibitors, kids activities, live music, and beautiful views of our mighty river, it's a can't miss annual celebration of the river that carved our lovely little valley. 🚣

Kickoff the day with us and the Greater Wyoming Valley Audubon Society on a Birding Walk in the Kirby Park Natural Area!🦅
Meet at 7 AM at the Nesbitt Park Boat Launch for a guided walk through the designated Important Bird Area. Weather appropriate clothing, boots that can get muddy, and bug spray encouraged.
Then, join us back in Nesbitt Park at 11 AM for live music, environmental exhibitors, and family-friendly fun!
