Northeast Highway Safety Program The Northeast Highway Safety Program is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA and serves Luzerne, Wayne, Wyoming and Susquehanna counties.

Through education, our goal is reduce serious injury or death on our local roads and highways on the subjects of: Occupant Protection, Aggressive Driving, Driving Under the Influence, Teen Driving, the Mature Driver, Child Passenger Safety, Bus/Bike/Pedestrian Safety and many more. Our programs are free of charge to any schools, groups and businesses. We also provide free literature on many highw

Congratulations to these very talented students in grades K-5 who won our “Decorate a Traffic Safety Cone” annual contest for Work Zone Awareness Month.
Students from the following schools won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons: 10th Street Elementary, Fairview Elementary, Hazleton Elementary, Hazleton Middle School, Solomon Elementary, Northwest Intermediate and Primary, Third Ave, Ross, Bear Creek Charter School.

We recently received a grant through the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Trauma Society focusing on Teen Driver Safety. As part of this grant, 14 High Schools in our region received yard signs with 6 different safety messages that were placed on the entrances and exits of the school to remind teen and all drivers to be safe.
