The Challenges of Building a Field of Dreams
The Wyoming Valley Challengers Little League is a non-profit that supports special needs children and their families. After years of having no field of their own, they were gifted a field called “The Bog.” Unfortunately, the field is in disrepair, and the organization lacks the resources to renovate and maintain it. The field requires several updates including expensive ADA compliant additions.
Our Leadership Wilkes-Barre group has taken on this cause as our service project. During our time in Leadership Wilkes-Barre, we will be working closely with the Challengers to raise funds and help get the field ready for the 2019 Little League season.
We need your help! Anyone who wishes to get involved is welcome to reach out. This is 100% volunteer-run organization, and they’re always looking for people to donate their time.
