Breathe Deep NEPA

Breathe Deep NEPA Breathe Deep NEPA is a grassroots event in Kingston, PA, to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving lung cancer research, education, and support programs.

This event honors Allan Makowski, an artist, poet, outdoorsman, and modern Renaissance man. He was a very active membr of the community, a loving, caring family man, and a loyal friend. Allan lost his courageous battle with stage IV lung cancer in June 2009. His family and friends have a strong commitment to funding early diagnosis and treatment research, and have planned this 5K walk and fun run,

which is now in its 8th year. Northeastern Pennsylvania is an area with an above-average rate of lung cancer. So many lives are touched by this disease—those of the patients, the survivors, families, and friends. We hope to bring lung cancer awareness to the forefront in the northeastern Pennsylvania area.

HUGE thank you to our attendees and sponsors for your support last night. Breathe Deep NEPA has been fundraising for 14 years and this was our first bingo! We appreciate you and your continued commitment to supporting lung cancer research!

Special thanks also to Robert Sax for being our wonderful bingo caller and THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who worked so hard to make the night a success.
