Hi! It’s been a while since I last posted. Here are some things I’ve been up to!

• In March, I was in my school’s production of “Anastasia” the musical! I was Countess Gregory!
• Shortly after, I was in a local production of the show “RENT”! I was Pam in the support group and ensemble.
• On a short break from musicals, I had sophomore party!
• A few weeks later, I went to my schools prom.
• I then participated in a production of “Mean Girls” at a local theatre, and I was Caroline K as well as ensemble.
• I had my voice recital for my vocal studio, Rising Stars!

It’s been a crazy few months! I enjoy staying busy and doing what I love! Performing is something I really enjoy doing and I hope to keep doing so!

I’m so honored and excited to be a candidate for Student Visionary of the Year with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In fact, I’m the only candidate from Luzerne County!

This cause is very important to me. I personally know several people who have been affected by leukemia and lymphoma.

My grandfather, my pop Jim, was diagnosed at the age of 57 with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He went through nine months of treatment, and then achieved remission. He then went on to receive a stem cell transplant at Thomas Jefferson University. He unfortunately passed away about 10 years later from some long lasting side effects of the transplant.

A very close friend of my family, Grace, was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia) 8 years ago. She successfully went through her treatment and then had a bone marrow transplant at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Her donor was found through the “Be the Match” registry. Interestingly, her donor is a gentleman from Poland, and he saved Grace’s life! My team name is called “Meet Your Match” in honor of Grace’s successful transplant and recovery. ❤️

There have been so many advancements in treatment since my grandfather was diagnosed 22 years ago. My hope is that we can continue to work hard and find a CURE someday soon.
