This weekend, the LWB Trailblazers visited the new trail above the Seven Tubs Recreational area with Rylan from North Branch Land Trust. The progress of the trail is amazing! We are excited for the ribbon cutting ceremony in June!

We are extremely excited about the progress of the D&L Trail. The benches and bike repair kit have been ordered. Soon, we will add some amazing features to this beautiful trail in the Greater Wyoming Valley area.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a dramatic need for outdoor recreational areas in our community. Our Leadership Wilkes- Barre project group, the LWB Trailblazers, is collaborating with North Branch Land Trust on a newly built 3-mile trail that is part of the Delaware & Lehigh Trail system, running from Oliver Mills to the Seven Tubs Nature Area.

Through fundraising and in-kind donations, our project goal is to add comfort stations along the trail this spring. The comfort stations will be located about one mile apart along the trail and provide items such as benches and bike repair stations. We seek to bring the community together and enhance an area where people can exercise, spend time safely with family and friends, and enjoy outdoor hobbies.
