MEET THE STAFF - Amber Crews, Placement and Career Services Developer

Born and raised in New Jersey, Amber relocated to Pennsylvania to go on and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology at Keystone College. After graduating, Amber went to work at a Juvenile Treatment Facility that served to incorporate individual and family services, educational and vocational rehabilitation and restitution to victims or the communities. She is a new and aspired member to the PathStone family as the Placement and Career Services Developer. Amber is a gym aficionado, loves sports and enjoys the beach!

The Adult Education Instructor is responsible for working with staff in the development, planning, and ex*****on of Job Readiness, Adult Basic Education, GED, and Computer Literacy to meet the needs of the young adult. Specifically, this position is responsible for:

Recruiting and Enrolling of young adults
Assessing and Evaluating young adults skills
Interpreting needs of young adults
Implementing appropriate classroom planning curriculum
Developing individual plans to meet needs of the student
Conducting training for staff, volunteers and interns for young adult education activities
Ongoing outreach and promotion of the program to the community and the private sector
Bi-Lingual (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.88 - $19.30 per hour

The Placement & Career Services Developer is responsible for providing career discovery and development, job placement and retention, and emergency support and referral services, as well as creating and building strong relationships with area employers/organizations. Specifically, this position is responsible for:

Conducting outreach and recruitment to identify eligible participants
Conducting job development to secure and creating training and placement opportunities for participants
Analyzing and interpreting assessment results, participant assessment results, and employment barriers to formulate employment and training plan of action
Attending trainings
Developing and maintaining of written individual participant’s transition plans
Collaboration with agency representatives, community groups, and area employers to determine appropriate employment trends
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.88 - $18.38 per hour

WHO DOESN’T LIKE FREE STUFF? If you are in the age range of 18-24 with a misdemeanor or felony on your record then stop what you are doing and read this. It’s a completely FREE program. We pay for you to get your GED and go back to school. Along with paying for you to go back to school, we also pay for work boots, tools, and uniforms.
