Our group has been busy doing research on the history of Wilkes-Barre and Kirby Park. A huge thanks to City Councilman and history buff Tony Brooks for helping fact-check and supply a solid timeline for our project. FastSigns has supplied us with a large print that we will be placing in the park in May! In the meantime, learn about F.M. Kirby, and wow, did you know Planters was started here in NEPA?? That's nuts!

WILKES-BARRE — A nationwide effort to clean up the planet had a huge local presence on Saturday, as hundreds of volunteers took to parks all over the city to lend a hand in cleaning up the community.

PROJECT UPDATE: March 27th, 2021, we had SUCH a great time putting together these picnic benches! Teamwork makes the dream work and this is a wrap on our first round of park improvements. Stay tuned because the Kirby Crowd will be back in April for more work on the Martz Pavilion!
