WEBINAR TOMORROW ‼️ From firefighting to forecasting: Proactive time management

11 am PT / 12 pm MT / 1 pm CT / 2 pm ET
*approximate length: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Presenter: Ishea Shepherd - Vice President at AMC Delancey Group

Property management work comes with urgency. There will always be resident concerns, tenant needs, maintenance issues, vendor delays, inspections, reports, leadership requests, and unexpected problems that interrupt the day. However, when the same issues keep showing up again and again, they are no longer just emergencies. They are patterns.

This session helps property management professionals take a step back from the daily chaos and look at what is really happening underneath the fire. Constant reacting does not always mean someone is disorganized, unfocused, or not working hard enough. Sometimes it means the team is missing a system, the ownership is unclear, the communication is incomplete, or the work was never planned before it became urgent.

Instead of giving participants another long list of productivity tips, this session focuses on how to think differently about time, urgency, and recurring problems. Participants will work through real property management examples and practice asking better questions: Is this truly urgent, or is it just loud? Have we seen this before? Who should own this? What decision was delayed? What could we put in place so this does not keep happening? The goal is not to eliminate every fire. In property management, that is not realistic. The goal is to stop being surprised by the same fires over and over again.

Participants will leave with a practical way to protect the work that matters, reduce repeat chaos, improve delegation, and turn one recurring issue into a simple process their team can actually use.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
* Tell the difference between a real emergency and a recurring fire.
* Ask better questions before jumping into reaction mode.
* Practice looking at what is underneath the fire, including unclear ownership, missed communication, delayed decisions, weak follow-up, or lack of planning.
* Protect the work that actually moves the property forward.
* Turn one repeated problem into a simple team process.

WEBINAR TOMORROW: How to sustain sustainability in real estate operations

Sustainability in real estate takes more than one-time improvements. To support owner goals, meet regulatory demands, and keep properties performing, real estate professionals need a practical mix of low-cost operational changes, mid-range upgrades, and long-term capital improvements.

In this webinar, attendees will learn how these strategies work together and where they can have the greatest impact. The session will also explore how the IREM Certified Sustainable Property (CSP) green building certification can support real estate managers and sustainability professionals working to strengthen sustainability efforts across their properties and portfolios.

What attendees will learn:

- Why data is so critical to sustaining sustainability
- How low-cost operational measures can improve sustainability performance
- Where mid-cost upgrades can support efficiency and owner goals
- When high-cost retrofits may make sense as part of a long-term strategy
- Why sustainability should be treated as both an operational and capital planning priority
- How the IREM CSP can support these efforts

11 am PT / 12 pm MT / 1 pm CT / 2 pm ET
*approximate length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
