🎄✨ Holiday Family Day – Los Angeles Air Force Base ✨🎄

Military Children's Charity, Inc. (MCC) was honored to once again support the annual Holiday Family Day hosted by Los Angeles Air Force Base.

Alongside our incredible partners from Edward Jones of Orange, California, Financial Advisor Matthew Terrones and Office Manager Brianda Hoelzel, MCC proudly provided 332 STEM toys and gifts 🎁 to inspire and delight military children and teens.

Additionally, MCC:

Distributed 100 candy bags to our Military Children 🍬
Offered 100 sugar cookies to decorate 🍪
Hosted a joyful Letters to Santa station ✍️🎅

As captured in the photograph, our Founding Board Director Pat Johnston personally hand-delivered the letters to Santa Claus to ensure every child’s wish was received.

👏 A heartfelt thank you to Matthew, Brianda, and Founding Board Director Karen Imfeld for going above and beyond to make this event such a success. Next, to Pat Johnston for not only personally donating all of the extra goodies, but also, for ensuring that MCC was well represented on site.

MCC is deeply honored to be invited back year after year to celebrate with these military families. The smiles say it all 💖.

✨ Community Spotlight: Edward Jones – Orange, CA ✨

Military Children's Charity (MCC) extends our heartfelt thanks to Matthew Terrones, Financial Planner with Edward Jones and his incredible Office Manager Brianda Hoelzel in the City of Orange, California📍.

Together, they collected 255 STEM toys 🎁 that went directly to Air Force and Space Force children, ensuring these young heroes had a holiday filled with learning, joy, and inspiration.

Not only did they lead this generous STEM toy drive, but they also volunteered at a Holiday Family Day event on Saturday, December 13th, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with MCC to celebrate and honor military families.

👏 Thank you, Matthew and Bri, for stepping up as Americans to appreciate and acknowledge our U.S. Military Children this holiday season. Your dedication reminds us all of the sacrifices these children make so their parent(s) can serve at freedom’s door.

Holiday Family Day at Fort Belvoir 🎄✈️

This past weekend, Military Children's Charity, Inc. (MCC) had the honor of hosting a holiday family day for a Military Intelligence command aboard Fort Belvoir. At MCC, we believe our U.S. Military Children, (especially this remarkable group) are highly intelligent, and this year we wanted to celebrate that in a meaningful way. 🎉

Instead of the usual Barbies 💃 and Hot Wheel 🏎️ toys, every child received quality STEM toys 🔬 designed to spark curiosity and learning. For the first time in sixteen years, our Founder, Isaiah Navarro, also hosted a paper airplane 🛩️ competition with four prizes. The sight was unforgettable! Literally, paper airplanes soaring above families, children in pure joy, and even soldiers joining in the fun.

We know we cannot boil the ocean, but we are determined by 2030, to bring STEM and literacy learning to all 1.6 million U.S. Military Children! These children are the future of America, our next rocket scientists 🚀, doctors 🥼, biologists 🔬, geologists 🪨, and leaders in government service 🎤. In fact, Military Children are statistically more likely to enter the Military and/or national service.

Mission Accomplished! 🚀

Our very first event in Virginia aboard Fort Belvoir for our U.S. Military Children is officially complete—and what an incredible success it was!

We couldn’t have done it without the most amazing all volunteer team of Americans at Military Children's Charity (MCC). Their dedication, heart, and hard work made this milestone possible, and we’re so proud to see our mission in action.

This is just the beginning! Thank you to everyone who helped us take this important first step in Virginia. 💙✨

During our Chief Executive Officer Cherie Johnston's 16 years of leading Military Children's Charity, there are times that she has met with some incredible VIPs, like this meeting she had last weekend aboard Fort Belvoir! Together, Santa Claus and Cherie were discussing the strategic plan for how all nearly 1.6 million U.S. Military Children can receive gifts of appreciation this holiday season, recognizing their repeated sacrifices in order for their parent(s) to serve.

🌟 This , stand with America’s youngest heroes. 🌟

Military children move 8 to 9 times before graduation: new schools, new friends, and constant change. Military Children grow up without the stability many Americans may take for granted, while also enduring long separations from their servicemember parent(s). Your gift to Military Children's Charity, Inc. provides the appreciation and recognition these children deserve. 💙

👉 Donate today and help us give military kids the chance to be recognized for their repeated sacrifices. To donate monetarily, please visit Military Children's Charity, Inc.'s website below, or scan the QR Code attached:

Did you know that our U.S. Military Children relocate sometimes up to 8 or 9 times before their high school graduation! On average, American children move 2 to 3 times. Imagine trying to learn effectively while repeatedly switching schools, with each new location focused on different curriculum.

Also, did you know that U.S. Military Children make up around just 4% to 5% of the 72 million children who reside in the United States today. Although they did not volunteer to serve our nation, they find themselves doing so.

Did you know that U.S. Military Children, on average, may spend several years intermittently separated from their parent in uniform. This is especially challenging during the child's earliest formative (bonding) years.

Many of our U.S. Military Children face 'adult issues' at a very young age, like having a parent leave for a prolonged period of time to serve in a dangerous locale.

At MCC, we recognize that there are many worthy causes that you can donate to this holiday season 🎄, and especially on Giving Tuesday💲. However, I am asking that you please consider making a super simple toy purchase online at our Amazon site (below), which will then be delivered directly to a U.S. Military Child in December, reminding them that American's care about their repeated sacrifices. 🧸

Dear Our Fellow Americans,

Every day, across our nation and around the world, children of U.S. Servicemembers carry a quiet burden, experiencing frequent relocations, prolonged separations from one (or both) parent(s), and wear an invisible weight on their hearts when their parent(s) deploy. Military Children do not wear uniforms, but make no mistake, they serve too. Military Children do not ask for recognition, but they certainly deserve it. And given their transient lifestyles, they do not always have access to the same tools which can unlock their future potential despite all the myriad challenges they face. Imagine trying to learn when you have attended 8 to 9 different schools, all at varying levels of educational progress, in different states or countries!

Military Children’s Charity, Inc. (MCC) was born from this truth. MCC is a public benefit nonprofit dedicated to honoring and empowering military-connected youth through literacy and STEM educational learning resources. From our Annual Collection Drives, where Americans can donate new books, new backpacks filled with school supplies, new holiday STEM toys, Easter Baskets, new baby items, new clothing and even diapers to our new program endeavor to create both a digital (and physical) library for the Military Children, providing them with a source of consistency.

MCC is building a future where no Military Child or Teen is left behind. But we cannot accomplish this alone!

Your donation is not just a gift, it’s a declaration. It says that military children matter. It says that their stories, their dreams, and their resilience deserve investment. It says that America stands beside its youngest patriots.

Whether you give $10 or $10,000, you become part of a movement that transforms hardship into hope, and displacement into discovery. You help MCC place new books in the hands of children. You help MCC deliver new opportunities to teens who dream of becoming engineers, pilots, and mathematicians. You help MCC to build bridges between U.S. Military Families and the American communities that they serve.

This is not charity; this is civic pride. This is national responsibility. This is creating a legacy.

Join us. Stand beside us. Give with us.

Did you know that Military Children's Charity (MCC) was founded by Isaiah Navarro, when he was just 14 years old, and a freshman at Mater Dei High School - (Catholic High School). Isaiah began MCC as a simple community service collection drive of toys, to demonstrate appreciation and recognition for the many sacrifices that U.S. Military Children make in order for their parent(s) to serve at freedom's door. Sacrifices such as prolonged separations from one (or both) parent(s), frequent relocations, and the child/teen may experience anxiety while their parent is deployed.

Isaiah's simple toy drive, in 2010, evolved into an all-volunteer non-profit organization, which has now distributed nearly 140,000 gifts of appreciation to our U.S. Military Children and their families the past 16 years and rescued/resettled Afghan refugees into California.

We are incredibly pleased to share that MCC is hosting a Holiday Family Day event for a command of U.S. Army soldiers and their families stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. As we just received approval to solicit donations in Virginia, (in addition to our home state of California), we are off to a very late start. However, our team is absolutely certain that through the generosity of the Virginia community members, we will collect all of the STEM toys, event supplies and decorations necessary, (by December 4th), to make this the fantastic event our U.S. Military Children deserve.

If you, or any of your colleagues, friends and/or family might be interested in participating, we would truly be grateful for the support. You may easily donate monetarily on MCC's website via PayPal or mail a donation to MCC's headquarters. This is the fastest and easiest way to immediately support MCC. There is no PayPal account registration required to make a monetary contribution.

Also, it is not too late, if you reside in Northern Virginia, to host a new STEM toy collection drive! The deadline to coordinate delivery to our volunteer(s) is Thursday, December 4th.
