Kinship families step up when children need a safe and loving place to belong—but the journey can come with unique challenges.

Some common challenges include:

• Navigating the foster care system
• Financial strain and unexpected expenses
• Balancing work, family, and caregiving responsibilities
• Supporting a child’s emotional and behavioral needs
• Managing complicated family relationships
• Finding resources, support, and community

Kinship caregivers don’t have to face these challenges alone. When we surround kinship families with care communities,
we help children experience greater stability, connection, and belonging. đź’™

Want to make a difference while bringing your friends, family, or coworkers together for a meaningful evening?

As a Table Host, you commit to filling a table by inviting guests to join you at A Night with Welcomed. Each guest purchases their own ticket, so there’s no cost to you for hosting the table.

It’s a simple way to gather your people, share the mission of Welcomed, and help make an impact. 💙

Will you be a Table Host? We’d love to have you join us!

Kinship care is when a child lives with a relative or someone close to their family when their parents are unable to care for them.

Kinship caregivers provide love, stability, and support while helping children stay connected to the people and communities they know.

Sometimes, family isn’t just who you’re related to—it’s who shows up. 💙

What if it just takes a table, a community, and people who care. Would you help us fill a table?

We’re getting ready for A Night with Welcomed on September 24 - a special evening of dinner, storytelling, and honest conversation about foster care and the power of community.

And we’re looking for Table Sponsors to help make this night possible!

When you sponsor a table, you’re not just filling seats. You’re creating space for people to gather, hear stories, learn about foster care, and discover how they can show up for children and families in meaningful ways.

🌟 Become a Table Sponsor.
🤍 Invite your people.
🍽️ Gather around the table.
đź’› Help us build a stronger community for foster families.

Interested in becoming a Table Sponsor? Send us a message or reach out to Welcomed to learn more.

For a child in foster care, so much can feel uncertain.

New people. New places. New routines. So many changes they didn’t choose.

That’s why stability matters. ❤️

That’s why care communities matter!

We may not be able to change everything a child has experienced, but we can help create a safe, steady place for them today.

Sometimes support looks like a meal. Sometimes it’s childcare. Sometimes it’s a prayer, a text, or simply saying, “You don’t have to do this alone.”

Stability is built by people who keep showing up.

How can you be a steady presence for a foster family this week? đź’›

Foster families open their homes to children who need safety, love, and stability—but they were never meant to do it alone.

Behind every foster family is a need for a community that says:

“We see you.”
“We’re praying for you.”
“We’ll bring dinner.”
“We’ll help with the kids.”
“We’ll celebrate the good days with you and sit with you through the hard ones.”

Support doesn’t have to be complicated or perfect. It just has to be consistent.

Because when we surround foster families with support, we help them have the capacity to keep providing stability for children who need it most.

You don’t have to become a foster parent to make a difference in foster care.

Everyone can do something.

✨ A Night With Welcomed ✨

What if one evening could open your eyes to the powerful difference you can make in the life of a child and family?

Join us for A Night With Welcomed on September 25 for an evening of dinner, storytelling, connection, and inspiration as we come together to learn more about foster care and how we can support children and families in our community. ❤️

We’ll hear from special guest Michael Ude, whose powerful story and passion for helping young people remind us that sometimes, one caring adult can change everything.

You don’t have to be a foster parent to make a difference. There are so many ways to show up, support families, advocate for children, and help break the cycle.

Come spend the evening with us, hear stories that matter, and discover how you can be part of the solution.

📚 Back to School Means More Than New Backpacks

For many children, back-to-school brings excitement. For children impacted by foster care, it can also bring uncertainty.

A consistent morning routine.
A familiar face at pickup.
A lunch packed with care.
Someone asking, "How was your day?"

These everyday moments may seem small, but they create something every child needs: stability. Care Communities can help overwhelmed foster families with that stability.

Whether you're a foster parent, teacher, mentor, volunteer, or supportive friend, your steady presence reminds a child they are seen, valued, and safe.

As this school year begins, let's remember that stability isn't built in one big moment—it's built through ordinary acts of love, repeated day after day.

❤️ Let us know if you'd like more information about Care Communities being part of your church.

đź’™ No Foster Family Should Walk Alone

This is something we believe deeply at Welcomed.

The beginning of a new school year can feel overwhelming.

For foster families, these transitions often come with additional layers of responsibility and uncertainty.

That's why support matters - this is why Care Communities Matter.

These simple acts don't just lighten the load—they remind families they are surrounded by a community that cares.

This school year, ask yourself:
How can I help create stability for a child or support for a family?

Together, we can make sure no family walks this journey alone.

🤍 Tag someone who has been a steady source of support in your life.
