Crossroads Community’s advocates recently shared...

We’re loved being at the FLD Fall Conference! 🍂

What a gift to be surrounded by people who are passionate about creating communities where every child and family feels seen, known, and welcomed. ❤️

At Welcomed, we believe everyone can do something — and gatherings like this remind us that when churches, organizations, and individuals come together, we can make a lasting difference for children and families experiencing foster care and beyond.

We’re grateful for the conversations, connections, encouragement, and opportunities to keep learning how we can better show up for families.

Because belonging matters.

A Night With Welcomed Recap

What a meaningful night! We were so grateful to gather with a room full of people who believe every child deserves safety, stability, and a community willing to show up.

We shared a meal, connected with others, and heard from Michael Uden, who reminded us why this work matters and how powerful a caring, consistent community can be in the life of a vulnerable child.

The night was a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play. Supporting vulnerable children and foster families takes a community willing to show up, encourage, serve, and walk alongside them.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for A Night With Welcomed and helped make the evening so special!

Together, we can create more stability, support, and belonging for vulnerable children and their families.

Crossroads Community Church has two kinship families they are walking alongside. These young couples have stepped in to care for their siblings while also trying to build their own families & navigate life together.

The Care Communities have shared that supporting them often looks less like “doing something for them” and more like doing life with them. Their care teams gather together, plan playdates, and even take all the kids for an evening so the couples can have a night out. It’s about creating community and showing them what it looks like to live life together.

One of the sweetest parts has been seeing these two couples connect. They both attend Crossroads and discovered that they’re walking through many of the same challenges. Now, their care teams sit together during the same service each Sunday, building community and accountability simply by being together.
