Join the OCC Trail Day for trail work, trash cleanup, and bouldering together as a community next month! Bring gloves, limb trimmers, and shovels if you have them, and your bouldering gear for some fun after the trail work! There should be plenty of pads and people to show you around if you need.

POSTPONED to Sat 6/6 at 10am. Due to the rain this week we’re postponing the trail day. Did you know sandstone requires time to dry out after rain since moisture weakens sandstone? Not waiting sufficient time after rain risks breaking holds and permanently damaging climbs. Drying time varies depending on the sandstone hardness, so consult local recommendations wherever you climb. Local areas like the limestone of Chandler Park and Prattville and the granite of the Wichitas and Quartz are less affected by moisture so keep those areas in mind the next time it may rain just before you climb.

THANK YOU to the 25 people that showed up to Prattville to clean up trash, build trail, and climb together on Saturday! Big thanks to for providing some giveaways to the volunteers, and for the hardware to support one volunteer that replaced the bolts on Amphibian. A new route Fossil Romp also went up. We picked up a ton trash during our Robbers Cave Clean and Climb! We had a lot of fun digging ancient trash out of the various chasms throughout. Oldest find was from 1993 and as always we couldn’t find any climbers trash!
