It starts with people willing to take the time to read applications, consider each one carefully, and help recommend who receives funding. That’s where our volunteer reviewers come in!

If you’re 21 or older and reside in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, or Stone County, we’d love for you to consider joining us. You’ll get a closer look at the people, organizations, and ideas behind the applications, and have a voice in helping us make thoughtful funding decisions.

This is an amazing program, and it's all made possible because generous donors had a passion for the well-being of animals and created a fund at GCCF that aligned with that passion.

Keep checking the Stone County SPCA website and social media for updates. The shelter has temporarily paused the application due to high demand (the need is so great for spay and neuter services), but keep checking for updates so you can take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Your fur babies deserve it!

Want to give a little of your time in a way that really matters?

Become a volunteer grant and scholarship reviewer for GCCF! You’ll read and score applications, help recommend recipients, and get to know more about the people and organizations behind the applications.

If you’re 21 or older and reside in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, or Stone County, we invite you to join us as a reviewer. No prior experience is required. We'll provide virtual orientation and training, and your commitment will be around 5-10 hours during the review period - all online!
