🎭 Meet Shyra Galloway, Queen 🎭
Krewe of Prometheus 2026 Royal Court, Stone County Mardi Gras Ball

Shyra, a lifelong resident of Stone County, is the proud mother of Kyla Galloway and Prince Williams and the daughter of Gwen and Len Galloway. Her bonus mom is Cassandra Galloway.

Every day, she honors the memory of her late brother, Officer Kenya D. Galloway.

Shyra, a broker and owner of EXIT By Faith Realty 833.323.2484, has been a licensed realtor for more than five years. She is also a self-proclaimed cigar aficionada. Her most memorable cigar was a hand-rolled Cohiba enjoyed on a trip to Havana, Cuba, with her late brother in 2017.

When asked what she loves most about living in Stone County, she says, “I love having a front row seat to all the growth and changes that have taken place over the decades. Being able to play even a small role in some of those positive changes has been truly rewarding. This past year, I’ve especially enjoyed standing in my office windows and watching the new high school being built — a community dream coming true for our youth and a move toward even more economic growth, development and more people wanting to call Stone County home.”

When asked what excites her most about the Stone County Community Fund and the opportunities it provides, she says, “For years, neighboring communities have maintained initiatives such as the Stone County Community Fund, and having worked in many of those communities, I am thrilled to see it come to fruition in Stone County. Witnessing the Gulf Coast Community Foundation give back to the people of Stone County this past year has been a true blessing. I’m beyond proud of the work of the SCCF Committee members and grateful for all that they continue to do.”

As for the Mardi Gras Ball this Saturday night, Shyra says she’s “looking forward to doing exactly what I did last year… letting the good times roll!”

Congratulations, Shyra!

🎭 Meet BRENTON ALEXANDER, King 🎭
Krewe of Prometheus 2026 Royal Court, Stone County Mardi Gras Ball

A lifelong Stone County resident, Brenton represents seven generations of the Alexander family to call the county home. He and his wife, Kaylee Burrill Alexander, have been married for 16 years and are the proud parents of Noah, 12, and Evelyn, 7.

He is co-owner and CEO of Alexander Hardware & Supply, a third-generation family business. His career began at age 10, sweeping the floor and stocking the Coke machines. He graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in accounting and has has worked full time in the business for the past 19 years.

When asked what he loves most about living in Stone County and how the Stone County Community Fund can impact the community, Brenton said, “My favorite aspect of living in Stone County is the people. They genuinely care for one another and would give the shirts off their backs to their neighbors. The Stone County Community Fund will help the community care for each other more by providing grants to better our community.”

Looking ahead to the Mardi Gras Ball, he said, “As the second king of the Prometheus Krewe, I look forward most to ‘laissez les bons temps rouler’ right here in our community with our friends and neighbors!”

Congratulations, Brenton!

Prior to earning her master’s degree, Hannah worked for five years as an Alzheimer’s disease research nurse.

Outside of work, Hannah is a regular guest speaker at Alzheimer’s support groups and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Senior Alliance. She was recently the featured speaker at the Alzheimer’s Association Gulf Coast Caregiver Conference.

When asked what she would share with the rest of the world about Stone County and what makes it so special, Hannah says, “The beautiful land and the beautiful people make Stone County a bright, shining gem against the darkness of this world.”

Looking ahead to the Mardi Gras Ball, Hannah adds, “I’m most looking forward to having the best time with most of Wiggins and dancing all night!!!”

🎭 Meet VIC WATTS, Duke 🎭
Krewe of Prometheus 2026 Royal Court, Stone County Mardi Gras Ball

Vic, a lifelong Stone County resident, has been married for 45 years to Ann Vreeland of Wiggins, and together they have two children, Mollie Barger and Annie Watts; three grandchildren (Taylor Ann, Charlee and Jack Barger); and one grand-dog, Beau Lane Watts. He also proudly notes that his favorite son-in-law is Brett Barger. 😀

A registered pharmacist since 1979, Vic currently consults with Omnicare Inc., a division of CVS Health. He and Ann are looking forward to retirement in March.

When asked what excites him most about the Stone County Community Fund and the opportunities it provides, He says, "I'm thankful for the Fund bringing back this Mardi Gras Ball tradition, as well as other events that will continue to benefit and support our community. I'm excited to see the younger adults taking the reins and leading these initiatives.”

A longtime lover of Mardi Gras traditions, Vic’s favorite memories include attending and participating in past Pine Burr Mardi Gras balls, where he served as duke on two courts and reigned as king in 1998. Known for always being the first on the dance floor and the last one off, Vic has—in true Ole Miss fashion—never lost a party. (Hotty Toddy, y'all!)

Looking ahead to the this weekend's ball, Vic says, "I'm looking forward to continuing the revelry of Mardi Gras while tying in the past, focusing on the present and looking forward to the future of Stone County.”

🎉 Congratulations, Vic!
