And this is why we are fighting to save the Crown Uptown! While she is not as large and glorious as her big sister the Orpheum, her size makes her perfect for concerts, dance recitals, and smaller community events that would be dwarfed in a larger venue.
Our campaign isn’t about taking away anyone’s property rights, it is about asking for the time to find a buyer acceptable to the current owner; and then transforming the management team into a 501(c)3.
Demolition should always be the last resort; especially when you have a building of the quality and historical rarity of the Crown Uptown.
(Note: Do NOT start a political firefight on this as I will remove your post if you do).
