Today, we remember the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.
πΊπΈ Remembering D-Day β June 6, 1944 πΊπΈ
On this day 82 years ago, thousands of Allied troops crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, in one of the most significant military operations in history. Facing unimaginable danger, these heroes fought with unwavering courage to defend freedom and liberate Europe from tyranny.
Many never returned home, giving what President Lincoln called βthe last full measure of devotion.β Their sacrifice reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy today were earned through extraordinary bravery and selflessness.
As we honor the veterans of D-Day, let us also remember all who served alongside them and the families who carried the burden of war at home. Their legacy lives on through our commitment to preserve the values they fought to protect.
βWe will remember them.β
πΊπΈ Please take a moment today to reflect, to give thanks, and to honor the Greatest Generation.
