🚨 A Historic Milestone for IBEW Local 271! 🚨

Brothers and Sisters, yesterday marked a massive moment in our Local's history: we officially purchased our new building! 🏢⚡️

Since the 1940s, our current hall has been the heart of this Local. It has seen generations of skilled electrical workers come through its doors, hosted countless meetings, and stood as a foundation for decades of hard-fought victories. The legacy built within those walls is something we will always carry with us.

But as our membership grows and the demand for our trade reaches unprecedented levels, it’s time to look ahead. This new building isn't just a change of address—it’s an investment in our future. It gives us the space and the potential we need to expand our footprint, support our growing ranks, and continue leading the electrical industry for decades to come.

Beyond our day-to-day operations, this larger space opens up incredible new opportunities for us as a union family. It will give us the room to foster even stronger fellowship among our Brothers and Sisters, host larger gatherings, and actively engage with the community we are so proud to serve every day.

We are incredibly excited about what this new chapter means for Local 271 and the next generation of our trade.

Brother Gavin Steinacher passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2026. Brother Steinacher became an apprentice in March 2026.

It's going to be at a private pond that's freshly stocked with catfish, crappie, and bass. It would be a great opportunity for anyone in the local looking to get their kids outdoors this weekend.
