If so, you may be eligible to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Many veterans assume they don’t qualify for VFW membership simply because they never served in a traditional “combat zone.” But eligibility is based on qualifying service—and many veterans are surprised to learn that a medal or campaign ribbon they earned makes them eligible.

Take a close look at the picture. See one you earned?

Then we want to hear from you.

The VFW is more than a place to gather. We are veterans continuing to serve—advocating for veterans and their families, supporting our communities, strengthening our Posts, and making sure the sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten.

If you think you may qualify, reach out to the Department of Kansas Veterans of Foreign Wars or contact your local VFW Post. We’ll be happy to help verify your eligibility and get you connected.

You already earned your eligibility through your service.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Labor Day Burger Burn at VFW Post 3115! We loved seeing everyone enjoying some great food, fellowship, and time together at the Friendliest Post in Kansas. ❤️🤍💙

An extra special THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers who prepped, cooked, served, cleaned, and kept everything running smoothly! Events like this simply don’t happen without people willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in wherever needed.

We appreciate each and every one of you who gave your time and hard work to make today a success. You are what makes VFW Post 3115 such a special place! 🇺🇸

🏍️🐐 WHO WANTS TO RIDE TO FLORENCE TOMORROW?! 🐐🏍️

We’re heading to Florence Sunday for the bike run, and anyone who wants to come along is welcome!

We’ll have motorcycles on the road… and a Jeep hauling a goat! 🚙🏍️🐐

Apparently the goat heard it was a bike run and got a little confused about what kind of HOG was invited. 😂😂

🇺🇸 One More Honor for the VFW 3115 Riders 🇺🇸

As we prepare to disband the VFW Post 3115 Riders, we were especially honored to represent our Post and our veterans at the Bishop Carroll football game tonight.

What a meaningful opportunity to stand together and represent the men and women who have served our country. Moments like this remind us of what the Riders have always been about—service, patriotism, brotherhood, and honoring our veterans.

Thank you, Bishop Carroll, for recognizing our veterans and allowing the VFW 3115 Riders the privilege of being part of tonight’s tribute. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Although this chapter for the Riders may be coming to a close, the mission of honoring and supporting our veterans never will.

🏗️ MORE VFW PATIO PROGRESS! 🇺🇸

Another BIG step forward on the VFW Post 3115 patio project! The final portion of concrete has officially been poured, and WOW—what a difference! 👏

A huge THANK YOU to everyone for your patience while the work was being completed. Not only does the patio look so much better, but this improvement brings a major increase in safety—no more trip hazards! 🙌

We also want to thank everyone who pitched in to move furniture out of the way beforehand…and then helped put everything back once the concrete was finished. Many hands really do make light work! ❤️🤍💙

This patio has come such a long way, and we’re getting closer and closer to enjoying the finished space together.

🎉 Plans are already in the works for a FUN patio opening celebration… we’re just waiting for this incessant Kansas summer heat to finally take the hint and GO AWAY! 🥵😂
