Huge shout out to Julie at Bee's Resale in El Dorado, KS 🤍

While paying for my items, I mentioned that I volunteer with Project pay it forward Wichita and I asked what she would sell this entire giant bin of brand new hand sanitizers for. She generously offered the whole thing to us completely free. 🥹

Many of these are Bath & Body Works sanitizers valued at a few dollars a piece, and we’re talking a few hundred bottles easily worth several hundred bucks. Absolutely incredible generosity.

Thank you so much, Julie. These items are going to help so many of our unhoused friends and community members in need.

We truly appreciate businesses and kind people like yourself who choose to give back and support our mission 🤍 Thanks again!!!!!

Yesterday we got to spend some time with a group of our unhoused friends and hand out a bunch of Braum’s cheeseburgers. 🍔❤️

One of the best parts of the day was getting to hang out with this handsome guy, Mr. Diddy — he is one of our unhoused friend’s dogs who stayed right by our side the entire time. He was such a sweetheart everybody knows him, but he definitely stole our hearts along the way. Moments like these are a beautiful reminder that a little kindness, good company, and a warm meal can go a long way

Ladies and gentlemen, we have to give a huge shoutout to Blaze Pizza for showing up for our unhoused community in such a big way. They donated nearly 20 pizzas, meatballs, and all kinds of extra toppings to help feed people going through an incredibly difficult time. 🍕❤️

Right now, many members of our unhoused community are facing uncertainty and trying to figure out where they’re going to relocate with everything happening around the city. In moments like this, acts of kindness truly matter. Something as simple as a hot meal can bring comfort, joy, and remind people that they are seen and cared for.

It’s amazing to see a company step up and spread a little love when it’s needed most. Because no matter what someone is going through… who doesn’t love pizza? Thank you again to Blaze Pizza for helping put smiles on faces and food in stomachs during a hard time. 🙏🏽

Let’s take a moment to give some well-earned appreciation to Station 8 BBQ This amazing local spot consistently shows up for our community, and today was no exception. They generously donated enough pulled pork, rolls, and cookies to feed 100 people—bringing not just full plates, but real joy to so many who needed it.
Because of you, there were a lot more smiles today and a lot of people who got to enjoy a great meal they may not have had otherwise.
On behalf of Project pay it forward Wichita and Rooted Recovery we truly salute you. Your generosity, your heart for the community, and yes your incredible barbecue you held make a real difference. You’re more than a business… you’re a blessing to this city

Today, Project Pay It Forward Wichita teamed up with Rooted Recovery for our annual third Sunday of the month—and man, it was something special.

Huge shoutout to Station 8 BBQ for stepping up in a big way, donating enough pulled pork and cookies to feed 100 people. That kind of generosity doesn’t just fill stomachs—it puts real smiles on faces and reminds people they’re seen and cared for. We’re beyond grateful for everything they do for the community.

To every single volunteer and team member from both organizations—thank you. You showed up with heart, with energy, and with purpose. This only works because of people like you who give your time and effort so freely.

Days like today are powerful. They remind us why we do this. And we’re just getting started
