Some choreography you learn in class. Some you get to perform.

This summer, Daniel Blake of Ballet Corps Minnesota joins us for the final week of the Full Summer Intensive — leading ballet technique and setting original work that students will perform at the end-of-intensive showcase.

Daniel's career spans Dance Connecticut, The Kansas City Ballet, and The Minnesota Ballet, with leading and soloist roles in works by Balanchine, Cunningham, and Tudor. He's been on that stage. Now he's bringing that experience into the room with your dancers.

If you've been thinking about signing up for summer classes at Ballet Wichita Academy, now's the time. Spots fill up — and the schedule is packed with options for every level, from Creative Movement for little ones to Adult Intermediate Ballet and Barre Fit for grown-ups who just want to move.

Classes run Monday through Saturday all summer long at 1600 W Douglas Ave.

We're growing our faculty for the 2026–27 season!

If you teach ballet, pointe, jazz, modern/contemporary, or conditioning — and you want to help shape dancers from their first class through pre-professional training — we'd like to hear from you. You don't need to teach every style. Strength in one is enough.

A few details:
→ Part-time, hourly ($18–30/hr), with paid opportunities for rehearsals, choreography, and outreach
→ Teaching across studio classes, community programs, and summer intensives — based on your strengths, not all of them
→ Bachelor's in dance or equivalent experience, plus a few years of teaching

If your dancer is approaching pointe work — or just beginning — this one’s for you.

Starting pointe too early, or without the right foundation, can lead to injury and frustration. The Ballet Wichita Academy Pre-Pointe & Beginning Pointe Intensive is designed specifically to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Over two weeks of morning classes, your dancer will:
→ Build the strength and alignment needed for safe pointe work
→ Train with experienced master teachers who prioritize healthy development
→ Receive individualized attention and progression — not a one-size-fits-all approach
→ Learn the habits and practices that will serve them for years to come

This is an investment in your dancer’s long-term health and confidence.

You know Logan. Now meet his incredible counterpart. 🩰

Logan Pachciarz, Ballet Wichita's Artistic Director, will be leading training during the first week of the Summer Intensive — bringing the same standard of artistry and dedication our academy students train with all year long.

Joining him is Taryn Pachciarz, recently retired Principal Dancer from Kansas City Ballet, who will be with us August 3–6. Taryn will be teaching ballet technique and conditioning — invaluable sessions for any serious dancer.

Together, they bring decades of professional experience and a genuine investment in what every student in that room is reaching for.

The summer schedule is live. 🩰

Whether you're a returning student keeping your training sharp or someone who's been curious about dance for a while, Ballet Wichita Academy's summer classes are a great way to keep moving — without the commitment of a full semester.

We're offering classes across all levels: Creative Movement, Primary Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Pointe, Musical Theater, Conditioning, Pas de Deux, and Adult classes including Beginning Ballet, Intermediate Ballet, and Barre Fit.

Classes run Monday through Saturday at 1600 W Douglas Ave.
