🇺🇸🎆 Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Veterans Memorial Park! 🎆🇺🇸

Join us on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM as the Veterans Memorial Park Board hosts a special Independence Day Commemoration at the American Revolution Memorial in Veterans Memorial Park.

This meaningful ceremony honoring our nation’s 250th Birthday will include:

🇺🇸 Presentation of the Colors
🎶 National Anthem
🤝 Pledge of Allegiance
🙏 Invocation
🎤 Guest Speaker: Colonel John Madia (Ret.), who served our nation flying B-52 bombers, C-130 transport aircraft, and RC-130 reconnaissance planes
🎺 Bugle rendition of Amazing Grace
🪖 Three-volley rifle salute by the Marine Corps League Rifle Detail
🎵 Taps

This patriotic event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made to secure our freedom while celebrating 250 years of American independence.

🪑 Limited seating will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to ensure comfortable seating.

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Today, we proudly honor the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of our nation’s freedom, unity, and resilience.

On June 14, 1777, the Adoption of the Flag Resolution established the official flag of the United States, declaring that our flag would have thirteen stripes and thirteen stars representing the original colonies. Since then, Old Glory has stood as a beacon of hope and sacrifice through every chapter of our nation’s history.

As we celebrate Flag Day, let us take a moment to reflect on what our flag represents:
⭐ The courage of those who have defended it.
⭐ The sacrifices of our veterans and active-duty service members.
⭐ The freedoms and opportunities we cherish as Americans.

If you display the American flag today, fly it with pride and gratitude. Teach the next generation about its meaning, honor those who served beneath it, and remember that the red, white, and blue unite us all.

Today, we proudly celebrate 251 years of strength, sacrifice, and service as we honor the brave men and women of the United States Army.

Since June 14, 1775, Soldiers have answered the call to defend our nation, protect our freedoms, and serve with unwavering courage and dedication. From the Revolutionary War to present-day missions around the globe, the Army’s legacy is built on honor, resilience, and selfless service.

To all who have worn the Army uniform—past and present—thank you for your commitment and sacrifice. Your service has shaped our nation’s history and safeguarded our future.
