Congratulations Dr. Mary Boyce!!
This is an incredible and very, very well deserved accomplishment! We are grateful for the time that Dr. Boyce has volunteered with our team to provide compassionate care to our patients and share her knowledge and guidance with other volunteers!

Congratulations to MSSC member Mary Boyce, MD, for being honored with the 2026 Kansas Family Physician Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Boyce, who practices with the KU School of Medicine-Wichita Family Medicine Residency at Wesley, did her residency at Wesley Family Medicine before joining the KUSM-W faculty in 1994 and going on to advise more than 140 resident physicians. MSSC member and KUSM-W colleague Aaron Sinclair, MD, said of her: "As a teacher and mentor, Dr. Boyce is the person others turn to when they need guidance, perspective or simply someone who will listen."

Our team was honored to have been invited to surprise and recognize our 4th year student doctor volunteers at their recent “Last Call” event.

It’s hard to put into words how much this group has done for our patients, our organization, and our entire team. They came from all across the country with different backgrounds and experiences and found a common love for the world of street medicine. They showed up early, stayed late, and did literally anything we asked. We laughed until we cried and on a couple occasions cried until we laughed. They are more than just volunteers who showed up. They have become family.

While it will be bittersweet to watch them walk across the stage tomorrow, we could not be more proud of how much they have grown, personally and professionally, over the last 4 years.

Congratulations Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2026!! It has been an absolute honor to share part of this journey with you. Keep making us proud!

Our team is gearing up for a week of taking healthcare to the streets. We'll be changing our Tuesday clinic location to meet the needs of our southside patients.

We are honored to have been chosen as a recipient for the Opportunity on the Plains grant! This grant is going to allow us to expand our reach and focus on getting our medically vulnerable patients into the appropriate housing that they deserve. Be watching for more updates on how this grant is going to help us make some big changes for our friends on the streets!

Something many of us take for granted — having a good pair of shoes.

Around the world, more than 500 million children, teens, and adults do not have a pair of shoes to wear. Many walk barefoot every day regardless of terrain or weather. Living without proper footwear can lead to injuries, cuts, infections, and long-term health problems. It can also affect someone’s ability to attend school, access services, or find work.

Right here in our own community, many individuals experiencing homelessness also struggle without proper footwear. A good pair of shoes can provide protection, dignity, and the ability to move safely through daily life.

👟 ICT Street Team is always accepting donations of new or gently used shoes, as well as socks and foot care items.

If you have shoes you’d like to donate or would like to help support our outreach efforts, please send us a message. Every pair can make a difference.

Together we can help care for our neighbors — one step at a time. 💙
