Gabe Bickham is an Eagle Scout of Troop 450. Gabe now serves in the United States Army. He is currently serving in Germany and plans to go to Ranger school later this year.
“Earning the rank of Eagle Scout stands as my proudest achievement in Scouting, and receiving the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement further represented the time, discipline, and passion I invested in the program. As well as being able to sell $10,000 in popcorn before turning 18. What I value most about the Order of the Arrow is the sense of Brotherhood and Fellowship as well as being apart of something larger than myself and having the opportunity to serve the community at a higher level.
I chose to join the Army out of a desire to serve my country and being inspired by the example set by my Scoutmaster, David Dibble, who also served in the Army”. -Gabe Bickham

The National Leadership Seminar (NLS) is a weekend conference teaching the skills and attributes of leadership. It is intended primarily to enhance the leadership skills of the Order of the Arrow’s key youth and adult members as they seek to improve their services to Scouting America and the greater community. The weekend format is designed to complement the longer, more detailed Wood Badge and National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Programs. Near the end of the seminar, learners make a contract with themselves to apply the skills studied in the seminar on projects in their lodge, council, and community.

Hello, Eythan Hurley, the Vice Chief of Program for Kansa Lodge 198 in 2026. My goal is to form a capable committee that works well together to plan four fantastic events for 2026. Before each event, we will hold 4-5 planning meetings to finalize the details. If you’re unable to attend in person, a Google Meet link will be available. Below is a link to a questionnaire. If you’re interested in joining this committee, please complete it. All applications will be reviewed, and follow-up emails will be sent to those who are selected.
