Last year, we sheltered over 300 individuals and families fleeing violence.

Domestic violence and human trafficking are a community crisis that affects us all. It doesn't discriminate, it can affect ANYONE.

Few realize that the most dangerous time for survivors is after they leave their abuser. Seeking shelter with us is an incredibly brave and life-changing decision.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about our services, please call our 24/7 hotline.

Can you believe between our Wichita and Winfield offices, we offered 898 support groups and classes in 2025? We can’t either!

Our support groups are a great way for survivors to connect with each other, share their experiences, and find community is this difficult time. Survivors often feel alone in their situation, but we are here to helpđź’ś

Whether you are currently experiencing an unhealthy relationship, or you left one several years ago, our support groups are available to you.

April is Financial Literacy Month, and we wanted to shed light on one of the most commonly used tactics by abusive partners, financial abuse.

Financial abuse is a way to keep victims trapped in abusive relationships. It affects their ability to stay safe and access resources. Financial abuse is never okay, and if you have or are currently experiencing this type of abuse, it is not your fault. đź’śđź’š

We recognize the need for financial education for survivors who have experienced financial abuse. We offer a 4-week Financial Empowerment class, facilitated by our outreach team, multiple times throughout the year.

If you are a survivor of domestic violence and want to learn more about safety planning, resources, or our Financial Empowerment class, please contact our outreach team at (316) 263-2313

And as always, our advocates are available 24/7 via our hotline

One of our Youth Advisory Council members, Karim Sandid, performed a research study, using WFCC data, to see how domestic violence service rates varied pre, during, and post COVID-19. Yesterday, he was able to present his study at the KU School of Medicine Research Forum💙❤️

Great job Karim!

The cases we’ve seen recently have been absolutely devastating. Young people being taken from this world at the hands of intimate partner violence.

Domestic violence is not black and white, it is complex, diverse, and very scary. It can happen to anyone just because it isn’t happening in front of you, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Have the tough conversations, know the signs, and reach out to friends and family if you suspect any red flags.

Our advocates are available 24/7 for ANYONE via our crisis hotlineđź’ś

Thank you Cox Charities for generously awarding us with a $50,000 grant! This came at a time where our team and organization needed a win, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Thank you Cox Charities for investing in our mission and the families we serve 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a yearđź’ś

It’s heartbreaking to see another domestic violence related shooting here in Wichita. In 2025, WFCC served over 4,000 clients, but many others facing violence still need our help.

When talking and navigating domestic violence, it’s important to recognize early signs of abuse- such as isolation, manipulation, threats of violence or harm, and financial abuse.

If you or someone you know may be experiencing violence in their relationship, please call our hotline to speak with our advocates. We are available 24/7 to help with emergency shelter, safety planning, and crisis intervention. đź’ś
