Last check before summer camp starts Sunday. I don't have a complete dietary restriction list for all the Scouts going to camp yet. Specifically, does anybody have a dietary restriction that requires accidentally dropped food be picked up out of the dirt and brushed off before 5 minutes?

Service is service because:
- It needs to be done
- There is no pay for doing it
- It is often times thankless
- The population that does not understand service will usually undo your efforts in short order
- There is a deep meaning to it that Scouts understand.

Scouts do service because a Scout is helpful, and a Scout is loyal.

When you are a Scout, and you are doing service, you know that you will be tired, dirty, wet, and hungry. We do these things because we promised to, and because we belong to an organization that understands why it must be done.

Thanks to everybody that helped Saturday and again this morning. On these 2 days, we did not suffer these things to glorify Old Mission Mortuary & Wichita Park Cemetery, we did these things to renew the honor and respect for those that have lost loved ones, loved ones that fought for our right to be Scouts. A society can be judged by the manner in which it treats it's dead. We are Scouts, and this is how we treat our dead.

Thanks to Old Mission Mortuary & Wichita Park Cemetery for extending this opportunity to us.

For everybody that didn't make it out to our Crossover Camp at Harvey County West Park this year for whatever reasons:
- The weather said it would be cold;
- The weather said it would be epic storms;
- The weather said there would be tornados;
- Even the neighbors near our charter stopped by as we loaded and asked if we were serious about going;- We went because the Scouts wanted to go, and the Scouts deserve recognition for their hard work.
- We got intermittent light rain at our camp, but heard thunder many times. The Scouts played in the rain.
- We made sure we knew where the tornado shelters were but didn't get any.
- We did our service project.
- We took care of our gear and had a great camp and great meals.
- We had a court of honor and a flag retirement in dry skies, and with storms on all sides. It was absolutely beautiful.
- When Court of Honor was concluded and we were back in our camps permanent shelter, the skies poured heavy rain and the Scouts performed their skits that were intended for ceremony. One of them was certainly good enough for QSR we think.
- Alexxis and Ava can now load our Tetris trailer.
-----
I hear Wichita and Lake Afton got literally pounded with hours of heavy rain. Too bad for them, we had a great time.
-----
A Scout is helpful. A Scout is Cheerful. A Scout is Brave.
