Fresh food, meaningful work, and a program our community loves.

LegacyWorks Harvest Shares are back, and we still have a few spots available for the 2026 season!

From May through October, Harvest Share members receive bags of fresh produce grown on our urban farms and harvested by the young people in our program.

Veggies, fruits, and herbs all season long, while supporting youth as they build job skills, confidence, and real work experience.

Choose weekly or biweekly pickups and enjoy produce that is local, purposeful, and packed with impact.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, now is a great time to grab one of the remaining spots and reserve your share with a deposit.

A note from our Executive Director, Shelly:

For more than 15 years, Miriam “Mimi” Overholt has been the heart behind Legacy’s “community of hope.” From GardenWorks to PotteryWorks to CoffeeWorks, her vision has created a place where young people are known, supported, and changed.

Mimi often said that no one leaves this community unchanged. We see that every day in our youth, our staff, and everyone who walks through our doors.

Mimi is now in hospice care, surrounded by her family.

Recently, our youth paused their work to be together, creating handmade cards for Mimi and for Lauren, who continues to carry this mission forward. It was a quiet, powerful reminder that what Mimi built is still growing.

If you would like to follow her journey or share encouragement with the family, you can do so here:

We are holding Mimi, Lauren, and the entire Overholt family in our prayers, and continuing the work she began with hope at the center of it all.

Happy Birthday to our Executive Director, Shelly Westfall!

During Women’s History Month, it feels especially meaningful to celebrate a woman who pours so much of her heart into empowering young people in our community.

Because of Shelly’s leadership, LegacyWorks continues to be a place where youth can grow, learn real job skills, and discover just how capable they are.

Her vision, creativity, and belief in the potential of young people have shaped this program in countless ways, and we are grateful for her leadership every single day.

Join us in wishing Shelly a very happy birthday! 🎉
