This past week, Coach & Academy Member, Alina had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Congaree Global Golf Initiative Camp. Alina was selected by the Congaree Foundation from an elite applicant pool of High School students.

At this camp, Alina gained access to world-class coaching, academic counseling, and a collegiate preparatory curriculum designed to help her succeed on and off the golf course. We are so proud of Alina for all of the hard work she puts into her practice and helping at First Tee - Greater Wichita. Congratulations Alina! What an amazing opportunity!

Last Wednesday, we got to send off six seniors who have spent years in our programs.

These six in particular participated in our inaugural Junior Academy class with 20 other High Schoolers. That program is about so much more than golf. We checked in on their grades. We talked through real life. We worked on job skills, set goals, logged service hours, and showed up for them however they needed. Watching them go from high schoolers to confident young adults ready for the world has been one of the best parts of this job.

Now they head off to college and beyond as official First Tee - Greater Wichita Alumni. We are so proud of you six. Thank you for letting us be part of your story. Go get 'em, and don't be strangers. We will always have a space for you here.

We were honored to host a drop-in class for Camp Destination Innovation, and this group had a blast! Most of these kids had never touched a golf club or set foot on a course before, so getting to teach them something brand new was a ton of fun.
Beyond the swings, we toured the facility and talked about why it matters to explore your hobbies and interests. Those passions open doors to new people and new networks, and learning to build those connections early is one of the biggest advantages a young leader can have.

Destination Innovation helps young people form bold ideas that can transform their community and build leadership for generations to come. We feel lucky every time we get to share our mission alongside other amazing organizations.

Together, we built a few more game changers.
