The 2026 Convention Journal theme is “Past, Present and Future”. Celebrating dolls of yesterday, today and the future. The journal will be a hardcover book edited by Ann Leis.

Dan Ninham, PhD (Oneida Nation), writes about the Chittos for our Summer 2025 issue. Randy, Jackie, Hollis and Dillon are an artistic family that encourage and inspire each other’s creative pursuits.

Hollis, a beadwork artist, graduated from IAIA and says he has been influenced by other artists like Jamie Okuma, Ken Williams, Jackie Larson Bread, the Growing Thunder family, and Teri Greeves.

Pictured: Hollis Chitto (Mississippi Choctaw/Isleta/Laguna Pueblo), "Hmm… Pisa Saachukma Ka (Damn, I Look Good)," 2025, deer hide, seed beads, cloth, basket. Hollis sewed the appliqué dress and wove the basket in addition to all the beadwork.
