Wichita Desk and Derrick Club The Wichita Club holds its regular monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month.

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of the Association shall be to promote the education and professional development of individuals employed in or affiliated with the petroleum, energy and allied industries and to educate the general public about these industries.

A great day spent giving back at the museum in El Dorado! We’re proud of our Desk and Derrick members who volunteered their time to help preserve and share the rich history of our community.

If you haven’t visited the museum yet, it’s well worth the trip. Even better, consider becoming a member and supporting an organization that keeps our local history alive for future generations.

We’re proud that our club was able to sponsor 4th and 5th grade students from Norwich Elementary School for a field trip to the Kansas Oil Museum!

The students enjoyed a Boomtown-focused educational experience along with hands-on artifact exploration, giving them a fun and interactive look into Kansas oil history and the impact of the industry on our communities.

Events like this are made possible through the support of our annual Clay Shoot fundraiser, allowing us to continue investing in education and making a positive impact in our community. Thank you to everyone who helps make these opportunities possible!
