WELCOME! The purpose of the Prairie Winds Daylily Society is to promote the enjoyment and foster the development of daylilies. The goal is to also provide educational opportunities for our members as well as members of the public. We are non-profit and membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the purpose and goals of our Society. We maintain memberships in the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) and Botanica, the Wichita Gardens. We are a member and active participant in AHS Region 11 (MO/KS/OK) Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month, February through October, 7:00 p.m. at Botanica, 701 Amidon, Wichita, KS 67203. The daylily is one of the easiest to care for and easiest to love perennials. They come in a huge variety of colors and patterns and are proven to be hardy in a wide variety of climates. There are currently about 72,000 varieties with many more introduced each year. If you have a yard full of daylilies, a few of the older orange ones or none at all, we would love to have you join us at one of our regularly scheduled educational/social meetings or at any of our special events.
