We also have our Hero Pledge Banner, where you can pledge to make the Hero Choice by always driving sober, buckled, focused, and safe behind the wheel. ❤️

The sprint car races begin at 6:30 PM. Stop by our booth, say hello, try out the impairment goggles, and take the Hero Pledge—we'd love to see you! 🏁🏎️

Always drive sober!

Make the Hero Choice and plan ahead.

BEING A RESPONSIBLE DRIVER IS SIMPLE: If you are drinking, do not drive!

🚗 IF YOU plan to drink, plan your safe ride home before the party starts. Choose a non-drinking friend as your designated driver.

🚗 IF YOU know someone who has been drinking, do not let them get behind the wheel. Take their keys and help arrange a sober ride home.

🚗 IF YOU drink, do not drive for any reason. Call a taxi, use a ride-share service, or contact a sober friend.

🚗 IF YOU host a party where alcohol is served, make sure every guest leaves with a sober driver.

🚗 IF YOU see an impaired driver on the road, call 911. Your actions could help save a life.

Drinking and driving? The consequences can last a lifetime. 💔 Protect yourself and others by planning ahead and choosing a sober ride.

We are honored to announce our support of the 4th Annual Kaitlyn Greenman Memorial Sand Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the Sandbox in Goddard. Join Kaitlyn's family and friends as they gather to honor the pain of loss while choosing to live with hope 💛

As in years past, the tournament welcomes the DUI Victims Center of Kansas, American Red Cross Blood Donors, Midwest Transplant Network, and FaithBuilders, allowing opportunities to bring non-perishable items for Faith Builders, sign up to be a blood donor, and/or organ donor, and make the Hero Pledge to not drink and drive.

We will have a team in the recreational bracket, and will also have an awareness booth with information on the agency and our Hero Pledge banner for those in attendance to make the Hero Pledge to ALWAYS drive sober!

The tournament features both competetive and recreational brackets.

This Memorial Day, we honor those who gave everything to protect our freedom.

One of the best ways we can honor life is by protecting it.

If your weekend plans include alcohol or anything that impairs your ability to drive, make the Hero Choice- PLEASE make a plan before the celebrations begin:
🚗 Choose a SOBER designated driver
📲 Schedule an Uber or Lyft
🛌 Stay the night
🔑 Hand over your keys

Impaired driving is 100% preventable, but the heartbreak it causes lasts forever.

Honor the fallen. Protect the living. ❤️🤍💙

This Memorial Day weekend, as we honor those we've lost, let's not create more grieving families.

Every trip on the road begins and ends with a person- someone's child, spouse, sibling, best friend, but most importantly, someone's entire world.

If your plans include partaking in anything that impairs you, make the Hero Choice NOW- before the cookouts, lake trips, and celebrations begin:

✅ Plan for a SOBER designated driver
✅ Use Uber or Lyft
✅ Stay the night
✅ Hand over your keys

❤️ Always drive sober. Get home safe.

On April 13th and April 16th, the DUI Victims Center of Kansas participated in mock crash scenarios ahead of prom at Goddard and Eisenhower High Schools, where Bob Recchio and Annie Reeves shared their deeply personal stories of how someone else's choice to drive impaired changed their lives forever—Bob as a survivor who lost his wife, and Annie having lost her brother.

Executive Director Cheyenne Shaw spoke with students about the devastating consequences of the choice to drive impaired, including the injuries, deaths, and lifelong ripple effects that extend far beyond the impaired driver—impacting victims, families, friends, and entire communities— encouraging them to make the Hero Choice, every time, by making sober, safe, and responsible decisions behind the wheel.
