Building resilience takes time. A journey shaped by one step, one conversation, and the encouragement of those who believe in your ability to move forward.

At Breakthrough, we witness new beginnings every day. With compassionate care, practical resources, and a welcoming community, individuals build resilience, regain stability, and discover their own strengths. Each person’s path is unique, but every step forward is a testament to hope and the power of support.

We are still feeling the joy from ClubhouseGiving Day! At Milestone Clubhouse, our affiliate in Hutchinson, we see every day how community and purpose can change the trajectory of a life. From $1 meals to housing at Frontier Flats, Milestone is more than a service provider, it’s a family.

Our CEO, Andy Houltberg, explains why this model has been so successful for over 80 years:

"They developed what was the clubhouse model, and it was all oriented around meaningful work and meaningful relationships."

Whether it’s helping members like Austin move into their first apartment or partnering with local businesses for employment, we are dedicated to helping our members find a place of health and thriving.

Read more about it in the Hutchinson Tribune!

Didn’t get a chance to give on May 1? It’s never too late to support our mission and help us expand our reach in the community.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate resilience and care in our community. At Breakthrough, we honor all mothers whose dedication, compassion, and strength help build stability and hope for those around them. Every day, these women embody perseverance through life’s challenges and inspire us with their steady presence.

Today, let’s come together to recognize the impact of mothers and caregivers who uplift families and strengthen our Breakthrough community. Join us in celebrating someone who has made a difference in your life.

Bungoma Health Link Forum CBO in Kenya is up and running, and we're proud to be a small part of their impact in Bungoma county. Breakthrough staff and colleagues participated in their launch by sharing best practices and learning about the challenges in addressing mental health in Kenya. This is a special event to help this incredible Clubhouse 8,000 miles away continue to meet the needs of their regional communities.

Join us for an open community dinner supporting the Bungoma Health Link Forum (BHLF). Serving over 200 members with 40+ daily attendees, BHLF is a lifeline for individuals and families living with mental illness in northwestern Kenya.
