Feel free to add discussions or photos. The Uptown Neighborhood Association boundaries are Douglas to Central and Grove to Hillside. Uptown Association was established in 1997 in response to the city's proposal to tear out our section of 3rd Street between Hillside and Grove and put in a drainage canal off Sleepy Hollow Creek. Our residents banded together and worked hard to get not just park-like

lanscaping along the banks of the creek/canal, but also Chautauqua Park. Our neighborhood association's been going strong ever since due to the dedication of our officers and founding members!

We are going to Lindsborg on the 18th to the attend the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks meeting. We from Sierra Club are going to speak about the problem of turtle racing and demand that they put a stop to them. I need your signature on our petition so we can bring copies to all of the Commissioners on the 18th. Please help!
