Shout out to Run Wichita!

Last week, they hosted a Runner’s 101 session right here at Youth Horizons, bringing together a panel of experts to share about the benefits of cross-training. It was an awesome opportunity for runners of all levels to learn and grow!

We’re so grateful for partnerships like this that strengthen our Wichita community.

Throughout the year, Youth Horizons is proud to open our downtown space for partners to host events, meetings, or Bible studies.

It will be held from 9 am to noon at Chicken N Pickle.

Youth Horizons hosted its annual Awards Party at Ridgepoint Church — a celebration of our incredible proteges, matches, and graduates who crushed their goals this year. 🎉

And yes, we celebrated right. Pizza, ping pong, pop-a-shot, video games — the fun was fully earned.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on these amazing young people. Watching them hit their goals is exactly why we do what we do.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and every match who set a goal and achieved it. We are so proud of you. 👏

Thank you to the Westside Wichita Rotary Club for inviting Youth Horizons to speak at Thursday morning's meeting at Rolling Hills Country Club.

We appreciate the opportunity to share more about our ministry's work in youth mentoring, residential foster care, and youth and family advocacy. We especially enjoyed the thoughtful questions and conversation following CEO/President Robert Garner's presentation.

A special thank-you to Rotary member Jonathan Harner for facilitating the invitation. It was also great to catch up with former Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell and connect with other community leaders.

Advocacy and community engagement are important parts of our mission. We value opportunities like this to share updates on our work and discuss how we can collectively support vulnerable youth and families.

New match alert! 🎉

One great mentor leads to another. That's just how it works sometimes.

Dylan and Kas are officially matched! Dylan met Kas through his friend Sam Hudson, who had previously mentored Kas himself.

Kas is 10, goes to Irving Elementary, and joins siblings Kai and Kalla who are also matched through River Community Church.
