A film screening of Herb and Dorothy is going on now at the Orpheum Theatre for Art Day of Giving (ArtDOG). All are welcome. Admission is free.

"Herb and Dorothy, a film by Megumi Sasaki, is the extraordinary story of Herbert Vogel, a postal clerk, and Dorothy Vogel, a librarian, and how they managed to build one of the most important contemporary art collections with very modest means."

Friends University’s famed Singing Quakers will be performing a range of choral classics, folk songs, gospel, and traditional songs around the theme “The Road Home” at the group’s annual Home Concert at 7:30 p.m. March 29 and 2 p.m. March 30 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium.

Ticket prices are $16 for adults, and $13 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.friends.edu/finearts or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.

Today is both Final Friday and Art Day of Giving. Take a moment to make a donation to your favorite arts organization(s).

February 28th is a 24-hour charitable giving campaign designed to support area nonprofits related to the arts. Participating organizations have the opportunity to both increase their donor bases, as well as bring awareness to not only their nonprofit, but the arts in general.
