Neighbors, it was reported that there was an incident in our neighborhood were a car was broken into. Luckily only a phone charger was stolen. Please make sure your vehicle is locked and before you enter in your vehicle, walk around it to visualially inspect it for anything unusual. The mall may not attract as much as it used to be. However, theft is still high in our area. Please be vigilant and connect with your neighbors. A neighborhood watch is only effective if the neighbors are willing to look out for each other. Stay safe and warm!

On December 15th, 2022 Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association Board members voted to shut down Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association (OBNA) for the 2023 year due to lack of volunteers. What does this mean for you?
No organized Neighborhood clean up.
No organized Neighborhood wide garage sale.
No organized Party at the Park.
No organized advocacy for our neighborhood.

Our neighborhood association is only as strong as our neighbors support us. The 2022 elected board members will meet at Kiwanis Park Recreation Building on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at 7pm to revisit reopening OBNA and elect officers for the board for the 2024 year. OBNA understands that we do have a following of neighbors that support us but are no longer able volunteer. We apologize for this for our current board members are overwhelmed and saddened on this decision. We do hope OBNA does get back up and running 2024, but only time will tell. Thank you and have a good holiday season.

This is just just a reminder that Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association will be hosting it's clean up tomorrow (8/6/22) morning starting at 8am. We will not accept any loads after 11am. The cleanup will be at it's usual place on Hoover Rd. Please enter from Douglas and exit towards 2nd street. You must bring proof of residency (photo ID or current Utility bill with address inside out neighborhood), residents only (no business or commerical waste). WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! Thank you

I know we are not supposed to post this on Facebook, but due to volunteer shortage and current volunteers extremely busy, there were no flyers printed this year.

Greetings fellow neighbors,

I have just received word that Loretta Buckner, who is currently the acting President of Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association, has moved into a nursing home out of state due to declining health issues. Our Vice President is also out of state for job opportunities unknowing the situation with the President. Orchard Breeze N.A. now only has one working board member and she is overwhelmed. As Past President of Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association I am temporarily stepping in and will organize an emergency meeting to vote in more volunteers. I understand that in the past there were incidents from the previous board members that may have tainted the OBNA name, but this is an opportunity to create a new chapter with our Neighborhood. If you live in the neighborhood that is South of Central, West of West Street, North of Maple Street, and East of Interstate of 235, please we need your help! Anyone at the age of 18 years and above and lives in Orchard Breeze no matter if you own property or not has voting rights and can volunteer to become board member. If you like the neighborhood clean ups, then please help out OBNA. I am currently setting up an emergency meeting and will post the date, time, and location soon. Please stay tuned on our Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association page, or on the Nextdoor Social Media app for more information. Many of you have reached out to me about Neighborhood Clean Up, and it will be addressed once a new board has been voted in. Please reach out to me if you are interested in volunteering as a board member. Keep our organization on your thoughts, prayers, meditation, etc. as we get through this. Thank you and have a great day!

Sincerely,
Peter Roenne

Dear Neighbors,

What a challenging year it has been for all of us. We as a community have been learning on how to adapt and changing up our routines for the sake of the pandemic. However, As the saying goes “every one door closes another door opens”. In my case I have been blessed with an opportunity to move forward and focus on my dreams. Things will drastically change in my world and for that my opportunity to serve to The Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association will be coming to an end. I am removing myself off the race to serve as President of Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association for the year of 2021 and will step out at the end of the 2020 year. I am excited to see the adventure that life awaits for me, and I will always cherish all of the memories and lessons that was given to me as I served on The Orchard Breeze Neighborhood Association Board. I do apologize if this causes any inconvenience to the board. I thank everyone who volunteered their time for Orchard Breeze from the bottom of my heart. I encourage to all if you want to make an impact to your community, please go out and volunteer!

Sincerely,
Peter Roenne
