Positive Directions, Inc. (PDI) started its journey in 1991 as Care Coordination Team. PDI received its 501c3 determination in May of 1999. Positive Directions provides the Wichita community with HIV/AIDS prevention resources including education and free rapid HIV testing. All services provided to clients or community are provided free of charge, including Condom Distribution, Rapid HIV Testing, Support Group Referrals and Volunteer Support.

Are you passionate about community health, nonprofit leadership, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others?

Positive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is seeking its next Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter!

For more than three decades, PDI has worked to provide HIV/STI prevention, education, and testing for priority populations in our community. We are looking for a mission-driven leader who can build on this foundation, strengthen community partnerships, support organizational sustainability, and help expand access to compassionate, accessible sexual health services.

This is an opportunity to lead a community-rooted nonprofit, work alongside dedicated community partners, and help shape the future of sexual health education and prevention in Wichita and beyond.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
❤️ A commitment to our mission and the communities we serve
🤝 Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
📊 Experience with nonprofit operations, financial oversight, and fundraising
💡 A vision for sustainable growth and meaningful community impact

Positive Directions has a Community Resource Table in our office to help connect our clients with local organizations, businesses, services, and resources.

If you have business cards, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, informational materials, samples, or other resources you’d like our clients to have access to, we’d love to include them! 💙

Whether you provide healthcare, mental health services, housing assistance, food resources, LGBTQ+ services, employment support, education, or other community resources — we want to help get your information into the hands of people who may need it.

📦 Have a larger quantity? Let us know and we can coordinate pickup/drop-off.
